Does anyone else get these weird pulse spikes in spO2 data?
Was blown out of sleep last night about an hour after going to bed with a racing heart and sense of doom/confusion. Looking at my sleepyhead report, there were no events at the time this happened. Is this ok? See the sudden dramatic surge in heart rate from about 60 to 130 bpm. I was awake for a min...

Re: Sudden dramatic increase in AHI. ASV
I appreciate the recommendation not to over-worry. Normally when my AHI randomly spikes from a normal 1 to say, a 3, I don't worry. The concern here was that I've never seen a 5, or really anything over a 4, in the 3 years i've been on ASV. You'd think that positional changes or GERD would have caus...

Sudden dramatic increase in AHI. ASV
Hello, I've been on ASV for almost 3 years. I am 32 with no known health issues. I was diagnosed with primarily central, but some obstructive apnea as well. No cause or explanation could be found for the central. My AHI averages between 1 and 2. It is quite rare for me to see anything past 2. Last n...

i also use the mirage quattro. I use a fairly flat, firm pillow and don't have many leaks. I've never been a fan of the pillows that are so soft my head sinks into them, though.

Re: 6 Month ASV data check
I can't read the numbers nor can I make the image large to make it easier to see. So I can't see the minimum EPAP number...but I so see some snoring. If you are sleeping well and feeling decent then I don't know that I would worry about the snore flags. Only thing I see that might...stress the migh...

Re: What's happening to me? Strange awakenings.
When is the last time you had a proper, thorough cardiac check-up? Don't sit around waiting for someone here to have magic answers... talk to your doctor even when your Cpap results look good. Something new is going on and you need to look into it. Had a cardiac checkup within the last 6 months and...

What's happening to me? Strange awakenings.
I have idiopathic central sleep apnea that I've been treating for almost three years with 100% compliance. I have never missed a night. For the past 6 months or so I have been suffering through periodic episodes that I can only describe as terrible. A few nights a week, I will wake up within the fir...

Re: ASV journey begins
I'll be curious to see the "after asv" screenshot. Hopefully ASV brings down your periodic breathing a bit.
It took me a couple months to get used to ASV, but I did adapt.

It absolutely blows my mind that our machines don't come included with some sort of battery backup unit.

Re: Traveling with ASV machine
I have traveled with my ASV 3 times in the last 6 months. One of those times was an international trip to Greece. I had no problems, and kept my machine with me at all times. The TSA agents were gently with it and didn't actually touch it. Some times they wanted to see it, other times they never ask...

Re: Spikes on Son's Report
I am not trying to cause alarm or anything... but with the left ventricle issue, and having these readouts that might or might not be artifact. It couldn't hurt to bring these graphs to his doctor or preferably his cardiologist, if it's within you financial means to do so.

Re: 2nd night, breathing stops when I start falling asleep
I had this same thing happen to me a lot my first year or so on ASV. It happened before my diagnosis as well and was the main reason i went in to get checked out. Just as I would slip into unconsciousness i would pop back awake as if i'd stopped breathing. It rarely happens anymore. So you had this...

Is there any consensus on what's causing your central apnea?
You're average sleeping heart rate is really high. For comparison, my average sleeping heart rate is 50-55 BPM.

Re: ASV - Time for an update
That's a nice looking sleepyhead report, looks very similar to mine. I've also been on ASV for two years(2.5). I still have unexplainable bad nights where I wake up feeling like i am dying or can't breath, but i'd say 60% of nights are good. Keep up the good work.
