Re: Boo, resmed will stop mirage quattro in 2023, replacement suggestions?

I used the Mirage Quattro for 9 years. Just switched to the Resmed F30i, and I'd say it's an improvement. My ahi is lower with it and I have fewer leaks. Also is a lot smaller form factor. Give it a try.

Re: ResMed Airfit F 30i Mask Issue

I just switched to this mask from a Mirage Quattro and have not noticed any issue with the exhaled air not leaving the mask quick enough. The venting port on the front as well as the top seem to be very generous with how much air they blow out.

Re: Couple Questions on my new Airsense 10 ASV

I have been on a Dreamstation ASV for almost 5 years and am thinking of moving to a Resmed Aircurve ASV within the next year if I can get one. What are the biggest differences when it comes to how they "feel" when trying to breathe naturally? I've heard the Resmed is more aggressive in treating even...

Re: UPS question: does the Airsense 10 require true sine wave power?

Presuming that most all CPAP power adapters are of the same kind that are used for a laptop (such as those for a DS2 and AS10), these are what are called switched mode power supplies. A switched mode power supply takes the incoming 120-240vac, 50-60hz and immediately rectifies (changes to DC) the v...

Re: AirCurve 11 release imminent?

One of the requirements for Radio Frequency devices in the US is FCC approval, a (partially) public process. The Resmed AirCurve 11 device applications have been submitted to the FCC and are now available on the FCC tracking sites. No Surprises, the AirCurve 11 devices retain the same model name as...

quote=icipher post_id=1415262 time=1657215957 user_id=68720] Curious as to why you recommend the Resmed over Respironics? I have a dreamstation and am coming up on the 5 year mark for replacement. I've been wondering if I should check out the Resmed ASV or just get another Dreamstation. Hmmmm..... ...

Re: My Philips Dreamstation broke following a power outage this morning. Need help.

we have Craigslist in Canada but sale of recalled items are prohibited. Don't buy another DreamStation....don't buy another Respironics machine....buy a ResMed machine. What is the model number of your machine??? Look on the bottom of the blower for the model number. Once we know exactly which mode...

Are you wearing a pulse oximeter at night to see how low your Sp02 goes?

Re: A question about a sad event

Sorry to hear. I've had multiple friends who's parents have died recently, most were in their 60's and for some reason they all die in their sleep. The more you dig into death, it seems that the vast majority of sudden, unexpected death occurs while people are sleeping. What a strange phenomenon.

Re: Heart Rates in the 40's- 50's at night

Mine has started dipping into the mid 30's at night, but averages around 50 while i sleep. I saw a cardiologist about this and she said as long as it isn't causing problems while awake and that I am able to increase my heart rate with exercise that it isn't an issue. She said oxygen requirements are...

Re: new ASV not feeling the same as old ASV

I had the same exact situation. I went from the 960p to the dreamstation and it felt a little different. I felt like i wasn't quite getting the same pressure on inhalation and it took my mind/body a few days to adjust. Everything is great now. Good luck!

How low does your heart rate get while sleeping?

I, like probably many of you, have a low heart rate(bradycardia). At rest during the day I can be as low as 55, but go much lower at night. They recorded a low of 42 bpm at my sleep study. I record my heart rate at night and it typically falls to 40, and has even hit 39. I am a moderately overweight...
