Re: CPAP with jaw wired shut
The surgery is to correct the disc displacement in my jaw joint. I have suffered from TMJD since I was a kid. The disc is completely out of the socket and is preventing me from being able to open my mouth, I can only open it about 1/2 an inch. The type of surgery that I will be having will give me m...

CPAP with jaw wired shut
I will be having corrective jaw surgery and will have my jaw wired shut for a few weeks. One thing I forgot to ask my doctor is if it is possible to use CPAP with jaw wired shut. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Taking mask off while sleeping
I am waking up quite often with my mask off and tucked away in the place I keep it during the day in my headboard. I have no knowledge that I am doing this. Any suggestions on what I can do about this? I am about ready to resort to duct tape!!

Re: New to all of this
Thank you so much to everyone for the warm welcome and support. Last night went much better than the first, didn't take as long to fall asleep. Dealing with some irritation from the rubbery part of the strap that goes across my cheek, going to have to try to figure out some way to cover that part of...

Re: New to all of this
It would help if you said what mask/type of machine and pressure you have. Sometimes not properly fitted mask makes all the difference. If your machine has C-Flex or EPR functions - try using those - they make exhaile feel more natural. Sorry, I have all of that information at home and will update ...

New to all of this
Hello everyone! I just survived my first night on my CPAP. It was a pretty rough night, at first it was extremely difficult. Felt like I was going to have a panic attack. Tried to get myself to relax and not pay so much attention to my breathing. I realized after a while that the air temperature was...
