Re: Worried about my Testosterone (24 year old male)
Had a reaction to a medication 15 years ago that screwed up my hormones. Testosterone went to Zero. Yes Zero. Lived like that 7 years while raising a family. Did a lot of research over the years on account doctors are so busy and have little time to actually try and figure out what's wrong. You'll n...

Re: Mirage Liberty cutting into nostril
I have a Mirage Liberty and love it! Usually keep my mask not so tight. There is no reason for it to be cutting into the nostrils unless you toss and turn a lot. I move a few times a night. Been on cpap about 6 weeks and its a lifesaver! Try some ky jelly and definitely do not use vaseline or petrol...

Re: why do i smother on my cpap
Check the mask and or the tube that connect to the mask. Not the long tube that connects to the machine, but the short one between the hose and the mask if you have one. Could also be the air intake filter to the machine might be dirty and plugged. Probably time to clean it

Re: Stomach trouble? This simple change made a huge improvement
For people who are busy and on the go, can buy carrot juice from any market. Read the lables. A number of store bought vegetable juice contains a ton of sugar. Remember, sugar kills the immune system! Most of America lives on white sugar and white flour. No wonder this country has a health epidemic....

Re: Stomach trouble? This simple change made a huge improvement
That's great. I juice a handful of vegetables depending on what's needed at the time. Usually carrots, celery, red cabbage, green bell, some ginger root, bok choy (part of the cabbage family) and some fruit. There is nothing more nutritious you can put into your body than fresh vegetable juice. Frui...

Stomach trouble? This simple change made a huge improvement
Had a duodenal ulcer for many years. Thought it might be a gall bladder issue but doesn't appear so. I'm not someone who likes to take pills for everything. For starters, I don't drink alcohol. Quit caffeine long ago. After a chain of doctors could never diagnose sleep apnea and preferred to attempt...

Re: unable to handle the mask
Might consider talking to your dentist about an oral appliance for sleep apnea. I'm new to cpap after having 15 years with sleep apnea and suffering greatly. Have been using this 5 to 6 weeks and beginning to feel human again. This is a real life saver for me. Once thing you will hear in the forums ...

Re: Health crisis in USA. Fructose is poison & in many foods.
Sugar is sugar. Guess the point is to eat fiber with every meal. Quit or cut back soda, sports drinks and try to focus on water or natural fruit juices. These super tankers of soda at 7-11 for .99 is hurting america. For those who want the reader's digest version of the above video, sugar is putting...

Health crisis in USA. Fructose is poison & in many foods.
Watch this video and understand why there is a health crisis. Stumbled on it and thought some might be interested in improving their health. It's a few years old and well worth the time to watch it from start to finish.

To get better results, just plug in the "actual waiste value in inches" and don't bother multiplying by 2.5 for cm

Re: Big decrease in CPAP use and heart palpitaions...connected?
Yep, have had heart palpitation (PVC's) for about 15 years. Recently discovered my sleep apnea and have been on therapy about a month. Noticeable decrease in palpitations. Some things that I've been doing on an off (check with your doctor first) is taking cayenne (90k hu) 1/4 to 1/2 tsp (usually mix...

Re: A-Flex, C-flex, None. Moving from A-flex to C-flex
a-flex is an apap option. c-flex is a cpap option. apap uses pressure ranges or straight pressure. cpap uses straight pressure. in other words to use c-flex you have to change to cpap mode and have one straight pressure. you can't get c-flex in apap mode. c-flex and a-flex are personal preferences....

A-Flex, C-flex, None. Moving from A-flex to C-flex
The last couple of nights have been tightening up the A-flex from 3 to 2 to 1. Have noticed I'm feeling A LOT BETTER and the ahi has moved from 5 or 6 to 2 to 1.8. The pressure remains the same with a minimum of 6 lpm to a max of 15 lpm averaging 6.5 to 7 lpm. Since I've seen significant improvement...

Re: What do you think about a PR One SE 60 for a backup unit?
Decided to pick up a DS-260 from secondhandcpap. The unit has 149 hours! This is just a backup machine in case the 560 needs repair or has an issue. My pressures aren't that high and usually range between 6 lpm to 7.5 lpm. Going from an a-flex to c-flex at this pressure shouldn't be that much differ...
