Re: [WTS] AirCurve 10 VAuto

Painfully sleep deprived, will be going to bed now. Will post pics of machine run hours in this thread later. Stay tuned. Get some sleep. Hopefully the additional info will help people decide. But at this point, going from . . . Original owner could have been a smoker . . . to . . . The original ow...

Re: Doctor vs. DME

This sounds crazy. Either there’s more to the story or time to find a new DME.

Re: [WTS] AirCurve 10 VAuto

I need to buy one of these machines, but I could never pay $300 for one if it has any smoke smell.

Re: How reliable are your machines?

Hi tarpatel, You may or may not be familiar with the term engineers use – 'mean-time-to-failure' – 'mean' meaning 'average', 'the statistical mean'. AFAIK, the MTF for Philips Respironics machines is 10,000 hours. I don't have a hard number for ResMed machines, but I imagine their MTF is in the sam...

Depending on how much distilled water you use, the humid-x cost is only about 2x that of distilled water.
You don't need to use distilled water.
Please elaborate.

Re: Don't Buy From Our Host, CPAP.com

Palerider, here's how to be nice to people: Phil587, I'm genuinely sorry about your bad experience. Having to go on Cpap therapy can be bad enough without equipment or provider hassles. One suggestion is to consider getting a "backup" machine now. For most of us, that comes later, but for you it may...

Re: Manometer

I'm not seeing how this method tests to ensure the CPAP can deliver the set pressure in the presence of the normal amount of air "leak". This is just measuring the unit's ability to maintain pressure while losing no air whatsoever. This sounds pretty easy : http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&...

Re: Is CPAP.com really this awful/nasty?

Chunky, that's unfair. I've been answering questions as quick as I can, and I spoke to them at length today. I'm happy to resolve this with them, and happy to report when it's resolved. I'm upset, and accusing me of slander is unfair. Of course I agree. I would have ignored that comment if I were y...
