Re: Please analyze sleepyhead data

To followup:
I had my annual checkup yesterday, and I had my pulmonologist look over this thread. He said that he saw no harm in taking it up to 8. I didn't get a chance to change it yet, but will do so tonight.

Thanks for your help!

Re: First night: not impressed. Does it get better?

I noticed on your other thread that you expressed a concern that turning the pressure up on your machine would make it noisier. That has not been my experience with a similar make and model of machine. Are you sure that increased pressure=noisier machine? Both my wife and I have noticed that it mak...

Re: First night: not impressed. Does it get better?

Glad to see you back. I ignored my sleep apnea for about 10 years. I thought of it as lack of sleep and didn't realize how dangerous it was. And being in denial, I made no effort to actually look it up and find out. Then I saw a thing on the news about sleep apnea causing high blood pressure, which...

Re: Please analyze sleepyhead data

One week later: I've had good nights with what I'd call one of my best night's sleep yet. And I've had lousy nights, which were pretty much more of the same. Last night was one of them Here's last nights: http://www.fredcrystal.com/images/screenshot-20140817-223344.png http://www.fredcrystal.com/ima...

Re: Please analyze sleepyhead data

Thanks to all for the comments and advice. I was supine when this episode occurred. I should have noted that in my original comments, because I almost always have trouble with the supine position. I will adjust my pressure to 7 and see what happens. I have never seen my pressure go higher than 10. I...

Re: First night: not impressed. Does it get better?

I thought that I would write a follow-up to my posts. It's not quite a year later, but close enough that anyone who is interested in whatever happened to me, is about to find out. I still think that I was led down a yellow-brick road by at least my audiologist who meant well, but then I extended thi...

Re: First night: not impressed. Does it get better?

Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. I am starting to sleep better. For those who may come later to read this thread, here is what helped me: Adjusting the face mask laying flat on my back. Don't do it standing/sitting up. This helped the leaks considerably. Learning that pulling the s...

Re: SleepyHead analysis needed for Newbie

II am having a lot of leaks that are waking me up. From what I read, this may not be unusual. If so, just tell me so. Overall, the leak line is pretty good. Except for the period between about 0:10 and 0:40, your leak line is pretty much right where it should be: The upper (greenish) leak line is T...

Re: SleepyHead analysis needed for Newbie

Hi, If you look closely at the pressure level when each of the events occurs, notice that the majority of events happen when the pressure is at 5, and events mostly stop happening after the pressure goes up to as little as 6. This suggests that your lower pressure is too low. If this was my data, I...

Re: First night: not impressed. Does it get better?

I finally figured out how to post an image from SleepyHead. I had many leaks last night, which kept waking me up. Rather than clogging up this topic with a SleepyHead image, I started a new topic, which is at this URL: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=92290 Thanks for any help you can giv...

SleepyHead analysis needed for Newbie

I would like to ask an expert in reading SleepyHead graphs to look at the image below. I am a newbie and this is from my third night. I am having a lot of leaks that are waking me up. From what I read, this may not be unusual. If so, just tell me so. But perhaps here in the data is something useful ...

Re: First night: not impressed. Does it get better?

My thoughts. 1. $40 to $50 a month. Someone is seriously ripping you off. Purchase a machine. 2. Make sure your machine records data, not just the hours you sleep but real information. 3. Resperonics System One. Mine was a piece of junk. I got rid of it. The first day with the S9 Elite was a libera...

Re: First night: not impressed. Does it get better?

What is your Aflex setting? That's an individual comfort feature and you may have to experiment with it to see which setting suits your inhale/exhale better. Welcome and keep us posted. I have it set on 2. That's kind of arbitrary. I believe in setting equipment to middle settings until either the ...
