Re: DevilBliss DV54 AutoAdjust CPAP -Help
Hi 49er - yes I wasn't sure if I had that right regarding the relationship between EPI and leaks with a full face mask. Do you think a raised EPI with a full face mask could indicate a minor leak on exhale only? Perhaps turning the Smartflex back on might ease the pressure inside the mask on the exh...

Re: DevilBliss DV54 AutoAdjust CPAP -Help
Forgive me if I am wrong here as I know nothing about full face masks but would a high EPI with a full face mask really be indicating leaks? I assumed if the mask was not leaking at all, the Devilbiss should give an EPI of zero regardless of how much you breathe out of your mouth. My understanding w...

Re: DevilBliss DV54 AutoAdjust CPAP -Help
alexchetty - as Hawthorne said Smart Flex is is Devilbiss's version of exhalation relief. With a setting of 3 the pressure on your exhale will drop 3cm from your inhale pressure. You should be able to see this on your LCD screen. I agree with with Hawthorne that you shouldnt need the ramp. it is mor...

Re: DevilBliss DV54 AutoAdjust CPAP -Help
The change of mask has certainly taken care of the EPI but at the expense of AHI but pleased you are feeling OK. Do you use the Smart Flex and if so at what setting? I found this to be a very good feature and had it set to the maximum of 3. Incidently do you use the ramp feature at all? I used this ...

Re: DevilBliss DV54 AutoAdjust CPAP -Help
Slight awakenings which you probably dont remember but enough to disturb your continuity of sleep making you feel less rested. It is possible that when you open your mouth to exhale you might have one of these slight awakenings. I am a light sleeper so when it happens to me I wake up rather abruptly...

Re: DevilBliss DV54 AutoAdjust CPAP -Help
Alexchetty - hopefully we can get back on topic here! Congratulations on getting your AHI down, especially getting it under 5 - something I was not able to do on the Devilbiss in 5 months. I do agree with 49er though and I wouldnt worry too much about getting the AHI to zero but concentrate on feeli...

Re: DevilBliss DV54 AutoAdjust CPAP -Help
I had a very difficult time trying to self titrate on this machine without the Smartlink software. I started with the default pressure range expecting it to just settle out at my ideal pressure and off I would go. Unfortunately I then spent several weeks experimenting with different pressures until ...

Re: Devilbiss Intellipap Auto Adjust Bogus Numbers
My machine does exactly the same thing however I believe it happens when it hasn't had enough time to calculate the final figures. If I wake up, take the mask off and reach over to check the figures I usually get the strange numbers. If I leave it off for a few minutes and then check the numbers on ...

Re: Newbie from downunder
G'day tman86 and welcome to the dark underworld of CPAPs in Australia I am also in Australia (Canberra) and a few months ahead of you on my OSA journey. After a couple of unsatisfactory experiences with local 'professionals' I decided to go against my doctors orders and "do something silly like buyi...
