Re: Medicare DME's and InnoMed/RespCare Hybrid mask
Hi, everyone, Thank-you for all your replies. This information is very helpful because I was hoping to not have to call all 32 national Medicare DME's and wade through their phone trees. You've given me a great place to start. http://verushealthcare.com/buydirect/innomed-technologies-hybrid-mask Tha...

Medicare DME's and InnoMed/RespCare Hybrid mask
Has anyone found a Medicare approved DME that sells the InnoMed/RespCare hybrid full face mask? I'd appreciate hearing from you. My local DME will not supply it. Thank-you for any assistance you can offer.

Re: Best tape for taping mouth shut?
I personally didn't like the painter's tape because I thought the odor of the adhesive smelled toxic. I'm using the CVS drugstore brand of a 2" wide paper tape like nexcare makes. Generic brands are a little less expensive. This is the gentlest adhesive I've found. I fold down a corner to easily gri...

Re: Can someone help translate my sleep study?
Have you inquired of your supplier to know which cpap model you'll be getting? There are machines that provide helpful data for your ongoing therapy evaluation, and then there are machines which don't record useful data, i.e., "bricks." To be in control of the quality of your therapy, you'll want a ...

Re: Questions about study and need for cpap
Hi, HealthyandHopeful--Welcome to the forum. A call to your insurance company will give you the names of their network DMEs, any of whom you can use with a prescription. Do you have the prescription? It's your legal right. Here's a link to a helpful blog created by one of this forum's members. The i...

Thank-you, ladies, for taking the time to reply with your experiences and suggestions. I'll make an appointment with my DME to try the masks you mention. I'm grateful you wrote.

Anyone with a narrow jawline using a full face mask?
I'm looking for a full face mask that might fit with a narrow jawline. The Quattro FX in medium is a good fit from nose bridge to chin, but it leaks around the sides of my mouth, even with the padacheek liner. I've also had the same problem with the Quattro Air. And with summer coming, I'm resisting...

Re: Swift FX hurting behind my ears
I'm not sure if this will help you, but I use the swift FX, too. When I tighten the top strap a notch or two, it raises the headgear up from the ear area a bit, thereby raising the junction of the upper/lower straps away from the ears just enough to be more comfortable. This may affect the fit of th...

Re: Nasal pillow causing nose irritation
You mention "pressure burning in my nostril" in your post. When I had this experience, it was because the nasal pillow size was too small and the air was angled into the septum instead of into the air passage. A larger size pillow was the answer for me. Hopefully it will help you, too.

Re: In nasal pillow styles, what's better than the Swift FX?
Many thanks to all of you who took the time to respond. The search function for this type of general question yields so many results that I thought asking the question more directly would be more helpful, and it was. I'm due for a new mask soon and would have just reordered the Swift FX. It generall...

In nasal pillow styles, what's better than the Swift FX?
May I please have your opinions on the other styles of nasal pillow masks you've successfully used? I'm considering changing from my Swift FX and am wondering what your preferences are. I've read reviews from cpap.com, but would really like to hear from people in this community I've come to respect,...

Re: tsp pap mask
For your Mirage Liberty, one suggestion is to use the mask liner made by Karen at padacheek.com. I've had good success with her liners in eliminating leakage. I have no experience with the tap pap, but others here may be able to answer your concerns.

Re: Getting my first Mask
Yes, you are entitled to have a copy of your own prescription for "mask of your choice," and then cpap.com can send you any style you want to try. Do you know that Medicare won't cover the cost of a mask from cpap.com? They're not a contracted supplier for Medicare. I do believe, though, that they'r...
