Re: Hacking the Swift FX short tube
Yeah, you guys have a good point: the last mask I used that was connected directly to the main tube whas a much bigger one. I see where this could be an issue with the Swift FX. I'm now considering buying the Philips Respironics Dreamweaver. It is connected to the big tube, but its desing seems to h...

Re: Hacking the Swift FX short tube
I made a newbie mistake with the cat story. That was not relevant to the issue, it was just to provide context. Now I'm getting to the point. Sorry, my bad

Hacking the Swift FX short tube
Hello, friends. Can anyone tell me why does the Swift FX has that short tube?Wouldn't it be simple to just have a plastic connector so it would just fit into the main tube? And then I thought: maybe I could make this connector by cutting off both extremities of the short tube and gluing them togethe...

You are talking about the vent holes on the short hose assembly?? I assume that you have used some small brush like a toothbrush to scrub the holes? Why lukewarm water? How about hot water run through it along with scrubbing with a toothbrush? Maybe soak in vinegar and a good scrubbing. I used a to...

Re: Cleaning my Swift LT mask
With a mask this old I'd be more concerned about fit and function than things like mold. I found a world of difference, i.e., pillows and all else fit much better, after I changed to a new mask after about a year. The headgear loses it's stiffness and fit after months of use. If I were you I'd pitc...

Cleaning my Swift LT mask
Hi all. After a long time just lurching, I decided to create an account to ask this. I have a Swift LT mask, been using it for 2 or 3 years. Since some time ago, I noticed some dark spots inside those small holes on its elbow. I suspect it's mold. No matter what I do (soaking it in lukewarm water, b...
