AirSense™ 10 AutoSet turns itself off
My 3 year old AirSense™ 10 AutoSet now for the last 6 days turns itself off once to twice a night while I am sound asleep. I wake up feeling like I am suffocating and pull my mask off. I wait about 30 seconds, put the mask back on and it works fine until it does it again. Anyone know what is wrong? ...

Re: 2 part question on cleaning and cpap related illness.
Julie, SoClean is for home use, not for hospitals. The manufacturer's instructions are to clean your mask daily and also you need to clean your tubing and humidifier reservoir. Have you ever seen how you need to take the mask fully apart to clean it daily? So many parts, so much work. https://www.yo...

Re: 2 part question on cleaning and cpap related illness.
Has anyone tried the SoClean machine that cleans your whole system? I just bought one and am hoping it works as good as the reviews on Amazon say. I ran across this earlier today and made me cringe. I knew the masks are so dirty from breathing into them all night but this http://www.easybreathe.com/...

Re: Returned masks
So many diseases are transferred through breathing in some else's germs, like TB. Just washing a mask is not going to kill them. You need to sterilize the mask. I wish there was some way to know for sure.

Returned masks
I want to buy a new mask. But while it is appealing to buy one from a vendor that accepts returns, I am so creeped out worrying that I will unknowingly buy one of these returns. What do you think these vendors do with all these returned masks? I would think too expensive to just toss them. My first ...

Re: New S9 humidifier uses way more water than the loaner
I have the same machine and find my water lasts 3 nights. Though I wonder if it works at all as often my mouth is so dry it is horrible. This is the main thing that makes using CPAP so miserable.

Mask questions and also about Quattro™ Air Full Face Mask
Did you like the Quattro™ Air Full Face Mask or not? How can you tell when you buy a new mask that you get a brand new one and not one that has been returned? If you have a ResMed machine(I have the ResMed S9 AutoSet™ w/H5i™ Humidifier), do you have to use a ResMed mask? I ask because I have a mask ...

Re: Questions on my new S9 Autoset and an Amara full-face mask
DonaldST. When awake I am not having any apnea episodes so the machine has no need to increase the pressure. Lazer1234, I was checking the fit in whatever window lets you. I kept getting the red frown face but as I increased the tightness to very uncomfortable I finally got the green happy face. You...

Questions on my new S9 Autoset and an Amara full-face mask
1. On the climate control window at the bottom it has a box which has cooling down sliding scale when you first turn off the machine. But when you turn on the machine instead it shows a yellow triangle and a 4.0 and the sliding scale. I assume this is the pressure it is set on. It is slowly going up...

Re: Any last minute advice?
Thanks for your replies. I still have not ordered! Shoot. I called CPAP.com and they will never take a return for any reason. I do not know if that is standard in this industry. So I checked with the BBB and they have an F rating. So forget them. My local place costs hundreds of dollars more than th...

Any last minute advice?
Tomorrow I am going to buy ResMed S9 AutoSet™ w/H5i™ Humidifier and ClimateLine™ Tube. The going price seems to be $923. I couldn't find any price less expensive. My fear is I get a 1. Loud machine which I have read rarely happens. 2. The unit has been used -- "Run" hours (machine hours) How do I ch...

Re: Which machine to get?
Thanks kaiasgram. Kaiser just called me. I had written a note in with my machine when I returned it to please call me and surprisingly they did. What the gal said was that I had 5 episodes of apnea every hour with CPAP and she was happy with that. Though from reading on here, that seems high. She sa...

Re: Which machine to get?
So what you are saying martinsr00, is that with a data capable auto Bipap machine, you have the flexibility to have 3 types of machines in the one so more of a choice going forward? kaiasgram, I looked thru 10 long pages of history. I had no idea I visited that many sites in the last week! I so need...

Re: Which machine to get?
Well shoot. I just went thru any possible searches I had done the other night looking for the study. I did see a few articles highlighted that let me know I had already read them. But not the study. I wonder if it still would be in my history. I will look.
