Re: Which retailer in Toronto lacks, or has the least, Service Fee?
What kind of service fees are you talking about? I have never seen or heard of these. If you are talking about fees to monitor usage and results then ask yourself if he really needs that. The simple answer is probably no. You can certainly buy a new machine without service fees at any online retaile...

Re: AirFit X30i Oral Nasal CPAP Mask
For what it is worth the mask was introduced into Canada at $240 CAD. I have one being delivered on Tuesday so will see how it is. Have not had any luck with controlling AHI with a full face mask so hopefully this being a nasal pillow type which I currently use( P30i) will be better. I loved everyth...

Re: Private Insurance for Supplies (Canada)
I am in Manitoba but to the best of my knowledge referral or a prescription is not required for purchases of anything but a machine in Canada. I can understand that they would want a copy of the invoice but should require nothing more. Just another insurance company looking for a way to make things ...

Re: REMStar 560 vs Dreamstation 1
I did the very same move and think the DS1 is a good machine except for an annoying whine in the motor. I would say give it a chance . You have nothing to lose.

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I live in Canada and just received from my provider a new Dreamstation1 apap manufactured date March/23 , to replace my recalled System1. I inquired with them if they had heard anything from Phillips regarding the recall since I hadn't received anything from Phillips since an August/21 email. They t...

Re: Did your CPAP change its clock to DST last night?
Unlike ResMed machines the Phillips change time automatically based on the settings in your machine. If you look in the settings you will find DST turned on no doubt.

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
I registered my System one machine in June and received a confirmation email from Phillips in late August acknowledging my registration and advising of their plans to fix/replace all affected machines within a 12 month window. Since then I have received nothing. A family member who happens to be a R...

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
Curious, has anyone in Canada heard anything?? I registered early July and haven’t heard a thing. Also, those who have received a DS2, did they contact you prior to receiving the device or did it just show up? Thanks! I am in Canada and I did receive an email late August from Phillips acknowledging...

Re: In Canada??? Is a 2nd Sleep Study Required to Replace Original Machine
I live in Manitoba and my answer would be no its not required. Have your Dr prescribe you a new machine and you should be fine. I do that only for private insurance purposes . Here we are allowed a new machine by the Gov't every 5 years and if you go to the place which is contracted to the Gov't the...

Re: Hitting Wife While Sleeping
Thanks for all the responses. I had the sleep study and my doctor follow-up is in a few weeks. In the meantime, I will take Melatonin to help calm this down. The thought of not sleeping with my wife is unacceptable but hitting her is worse. Thanks Again !!! I would really get worried if she starts ...
