Re: Question about my number and how to get data

So I'm still trying to learn about my numbers in SleepyHead. First off, looking at the Stats page I see that after 6 days I see a change in the Prescription settings. It looks like initially I had an AHI of .76 in 6 days of use. Then they must have changed something (I guess they could do that throu...

Re: Question about my number and how to get data

Still, you're saying anything less than a 5.0 is good? So, I should strive to stay around the .2 area?

Re: Question about my number and how to get data

Ok....took the modem off and there was an SD card already there. Read through some of the SleepyHead stuff and got the latest 9.3 download. Downloaded, installed, and imported my data. I still have learning to do about what all the numbers mean but they show a little different than what the DME pers...

Re: Question about my number and how to get data

Cool....Thanks for the info. I'll start looking at all of this sometime this weekend. I'm sure I'll have more questions along the way.

BTW, what would be a recommend size of and SD card. I have some 4 GIG and 8 GIG cards already.

Thanks for all your help!

Re: Question about my number and how to get data

BTW, not sure if this is what the AHI is but when I did my initial sleep study they said I was stopping breathing 52 times an hour. I'm assuming that was an average. I think my sleep time during the study was 6 hours and I has something like 415 events and 320 of them were from not breathing. Guess ...

Question about my number and how to get data

Ok....again, I'm a newbie with CPAP. I'm just now getting to where I can sleep most of the night and I no longer wake up with painful dry mouth. So, someone from the DME company called me again (this is their second time...the first time was within a week to see how things were going) and she said "...

Re: Any suggestions on preventing dry mouth?

Looking at the bottom of the machine it has 460P on it so I guess that's what I have. Thanks for the info, I'll change my equipment listing.

I don't think I have a heated hose though. At least not as far as I know. Not sure how to tell for sure though.

Re: Any suggestions on preventing dry mouth?

RemStar Pro C-Flex+ System One

That's what is on the machine.

I have RemStar Pro 2 C-Flex selected in the dropdown. That was the closest I could find to my description.

Re: Any suggestions on preventing dry mouth?

My mask is showing up but for some reason my machine is not showing up even though I have it set in my profile. That's all I have. I do have a chin strap but since it's worthless I don't use it. I'm hoping that I might be able to get the Ruby strap to be tight enough to help even if it's tight. I mi...

Re: Any suggestions on preventing dry mouth?

Without the tape and with the first chin strap I was given from the DME I would wake up probably 4 times a night with such dry mouth is was painful. I've got a Ruby chin strap on it's way but it will be a few more days before it gets here. I hope that will be the ticket. In the mean time I've tested...

Re: Any suggestions on preventing dry mouth?

Sounds like you have a full face mask. I don't so I don't have experience with them. I'm using nasal pillows. However, what is happening to me is that my mouth is opening up (read somewhere that it's common when you go into REM sleep?) and because of that the forced air is escaping through my mouth....

Re: Any suggestions on preventing dry mouth?

Well, used painters tape again last night since it will be a couple days before my Ruby chin strap gets here. All in all it was pretty successful. I think last night was the most sleep I've had since starting CPAP. I only woke up only one time that I can remember and that was because my mouth was sl...

Re: Any suggestions on preventing dry mouth?

Don't know what brand of chin strap they gave me but it's the blue and says CareFushion on the back. I just ordered an adjustable Ruby chin strap that everyone seems to be happy with. $15 to my door so it's worth the gamble. I'll be taking my $20 mouth guard back and still be ahead of the game. They...
