Re: Somewhat disappointed with my sleep Dr. after 1 mo meeting
[quote="rkuntz123"]12 and 13 hr days are my norm and 46 days of cpap therapy has really helped relative to my pre-cpap life. Could you answer a couple of additional questions. 1) How do you feel pre-cpap therapy vs. after starting cpap? I can understand your daytime fatigue, but is it getting better...

Re: Tourette's and central apnea?
Welcome to the forum there is a wealth of information and very knowledgeable people here. I can't help with Tourette's and I only have 1 or 2 centrals a week so not much help there either but welcome just the same.

Somewhat disappointed with my sleep Dr. after 1 mo meeting
So I show up for my 1 month meeting to discuss my results. The sleep lab downloads the data from my sd card and WOW AHI is 0.5 TERRIFIC. I state, yes much better than 35, however when I push myself at work in the latter part of the week approaching 60+ hours working my 12-15 cm setting gets maxed ou...

I agree focus was immediately improved. "Brain fog" was gone on the second day of CPAP treatment.

Re: cpap causing emotional issues
Many of the people that have posted here have used CPAP for much longer than I have but being a new user (less than 4 weeks) I can say there is a definite adjustment period and it is different for each person. I adjusted quickly and easily but I find if I wake up an hour or 2 early I'm ready to go a...

Re: New User With Some Concerns
I saw a post somewhere about using aroma therapy oils/scents in the humidifier so I thought I'd try that to see if it affected the odor issue. The wife had some lavender oil and she's allergic to it so It's all mine. One drop in the humidifier and 2 nights later don't smell the lavender and the othe...

Re: New User With Some Concerns
I have noticed from the second night with my machine a certain smell when I take off the mask also. It's not a smell I can identify as to what it is but it only lasts maybe 3 to 5 minutes after I remove my mask. Mine was a new machine and new mask.

Re: When did you first notice improvement?
Like you I'm just completing my first week. I noticed some minor improvement the first night. The 3rd night i slept over 9 hours but the 6th morning was the morning I got up and really went WOW. I was feeling better than I had in a long time. I average just over 7 hrs a night. I've had some issues w...

Re: Things I have noticed by the end of my first week on CPAP..
Odd thing about the "sore or backache" is that I have had a lower backache every morning that I spent more than 5 hours in bed since last November and now on the CPAP I have not had a backache in a week and my 3rd night on the hose I slept over 9 hours and averaging about 7.25 hr a night in bed. So ...

Things I have noticed by the end of my first week on CPAP..
I have already modified my headgear on my first mask. LOL Only 1 nights worth of testing so and far it is a sucess. I am waking up MUCH more refreshed and "ready to rock" I'm not usually a morning person but my job has been a early morning job for many years and it's been difficult for me to get up ...

Looking at changing masks Opus 360 to ???
I chose an Opus 360 for my first mask. I like the idea of the nose pillow and it work OK only problem is the headgead doesn't go far enough down the back of the head or below the ears and it slips off the top of my head enough to let the pillows slip down. I wake up 4 or 5 times a night to adjust th...

Re: 2nd Night good for me not so much for wife
AHH 3rd night good for both but nose getting a bit sore had to take off the Opus 360 after just over 6 hours. Not sore like having a cold and blowing nose all the time and not even sore to press on must just be from the steady pressure and not being used to it.
