Re: Still mouth breathing and tired, even after sinus surgery!
I can't insert my SD card into my computer. I think it's because there is a white plastic tab on the side that won't come off. Also, in the past 7 days of using the Quattro FX full face mask, my AHI (7 day avg) has gone up from 1.0 to 2.5. Can anyone comment on why, or if this is significant? My dry...

Re: Still mouth breathing and tired, even after sinus surgery!
Thanks! I downloaded Sleepyhead. Do I just insert my SD card into my PC tower to upload the data?

Re: Still mouth breathing and tired, even after sinus surgery!
@ musculus: Yes, I still have some nasal congestion, which is why I'm breathing thru the mouth and need a full-face or hybrid mask. But my ENT does not think it's serious enough to warrant a second sinus surgery. @ kaiasgram: I'm using the same machine that I have listed. It records hours of use, AH...

Re: Still mouth breathing and tired, even after sinus surgery!
Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. I will try the mask liners. The sleep apnea is causing the low-T (it was 167 last month, when a normal reading is 240 and up). My doc said I could go back on the Androgel if I wanted to, but I don't want to. Some studies suggest that the Androgel makes th...

Still mouth breathing and tired, even after sinus surgery!
I've been using my CPAP for about 4 years, and lately I've been very tired and waking up every morning with a dry mouth. Here's my history, and please post if you have any helpful suggestions or comments. Here’s a timeline of my health problems: Nov, Dec, 2013– I was getting daily headaches (in the ...

Re: Air still escapes out of my mouth, even with tape!
Well, here I am, 9 months after my initial post in this thread, and I'm still having mouth-breathing issues. I was getting headaches every day for 2 months. I had a CT scan of the brain (that detected no problems), and I saw an ear, nose & throat (ENT) doctor. He said I had partial sinusitis, and in...

Air still escapes out of my mouth, even with tape!
Since my pressure recently increased from a 6 to a 10, I noticed my mouth opening up during the night (I use the Aloha mask with nasal pillows). So I started taping my mouth with white medical tape. It has improved, but sometimes air still escapes out of my mouth! I also wake up with a dry mouth mor...

I have the PR System One REMstar Plus CPAP Machine with C-Flex. The humidifier is a heated, integrated System One & Dry Box.

I don't have a data package. Is it worth getting one?
I never got a paper report of my last sleep study, which was done two months ago. Should I ask for it from my doctor? And if so, how will it help me? Also, I hear people talk about AHI and other readings, but I don't have a data package on my CPAP. Given my type of machine listed below, is it possib...

Re: Air escapes out of my mouth due to my pressure increase.
Thanks for the suggestions. My doctor just sent me another disk to insert into my machine that lowers my pressure to a 9. We'll see if that helps. Unfortunately, I don't have a machine that keeps track of data. I will try the tongue thing, and perhaps the tape.

Air escapes out of my mouth due to my pressure increase.
I've been on a CPAP (nasal pillows mask) for 3 years at an air pressure level of 6. After a recent sleep study, my doctor increased my pressure from a 6 to a 10, which I'm told is a pretty large increase. Since the change, I've noticed that the increased air pressure forces my mouth to open, losing ...
