Re: Speed drying for Cpap Hose?
You repeatedly demonstrate that you don't have a damned clue what you're talking about, haven't done your homework and spew "nonsense". Den Well Den It's less than refreshing to see someone, when they see something they don't like, get insulting. If you don't agree, simply say so. But I see so many...

Re: Speed drying for Cpap Hose?
I feel it is a complete waste of time...it's like washing and drying your car before going out in the rain. Hours later you are just going to run water through it again. (When you do wash your hose...I hope you are smart enough not to hang it in the germ ridden bathroom) Depending upon how strong o...

Re: Speed drying for Cpap Hose?
... anyone use a hair dryer, or have other drying tips? I use a small fan to blow room air through the hose. I have a picture of it, but cannot figure out how to post an photo on this forum. The fan is a small 5V 7500rmp 7CFM fan. It's size is 1.25x1.25x.50 inches. I wired this to a USB cable so th...

Re: change in bowel habits since using cpap
I started using my CPAP mask and machine in December of 2004. I soon started noticing a change in my bowel habits towards the constipation side. Since I had seldom ever had a problem before, I mentioned this to my doctor. He scheduled me for a colonoscopy (I am 57) and I am glad to say my surgeon f...

Re: New member needs help with new machine.
I'm unclear about the question, so a little guess is in order. I have been using my Respironics DS760TS (Bipap, System One, Series 60) for a bit over 3 months now. First of all, get the clnicians manual, and you can set the machine as you like. Unlocking involves pressing the selector wheel and the ...

Re: More Doctors are now taking medicare than accepting private
So it doesn't matter whether you like the Dr, or whether or not you feel the Dr. is working in your best interest, just as long as they get you signed up with a Doctor. Note the underlying assumptions often present on the posts on forums such as this: 1. Any doctor with a credential is sufficient 2...

Re: How do you deal with the DMEs?
In my experience they are either checking you for compliance or are trying to cover themselves because you are changing your pressure settings. We would have to notify the MD and insurance companies if we had someone changing the settings. We would have to get several downloads showing that we set ...

Re: To the "Answer Team" regarding S9 Autoset and ASV therapy
Other places get so much cool stuff first. (sigh) I wonder what else they are holding out on us? Or what they will pull out of their hat in response to whatever the Koreans bring out. Well, if we weren't so moribund by slap happy lawyers ready to sue at at the slightest hitch in a new product, mayb...

Re: Kudos to STL Mark
I recently purchased a new, zero hour, Resmed S9 VPAP Auto, with H5i Humidifier, ClimateLine MAX tubing, and SlimLine tubing from STL Mark. I just wanted to say that buying a machine from STL Mark was a great experience. He was a pleasure to deal with, answered all my questions, and the item arrive...

Re: RE: my humidifier problem
I have a Respironics Bipap with a humidifier, but the concept is the same. A humidifier adds water to the air. That will require water. If the water level isn't going down, it isn't humidifying the air. Cause and effect -- pure and simple. My humidifier tank is exhausted in the morning. When I turn ...

Re: Which machine to get?
Thanks Lsat, I will definitely shop around! It appears that this is going to be an ongoing big expense for me. I see you have the S9 VPAP™ Auto BiLevel Machine. I was initially interested in that one. But I read a report online comparing the BiLevel with the CPAP and it said in a study more people ...

Re: first night - was not able to exhale
It was my first night and everything was ok till my resmed auto changed the airflow over 5.5. The air pressure went up to 14.9 and my lungs are not strong enough to exhale, so I had to sleep without the mask. Can I lower the pressure ? That''s because you haven't changed your reference pressure to ...

Re: How has CPAP changed you?
It made me feel 10 years younger within 2 months. I felt wonderful after 2 days. Slept 8 hours straight after sleeping only 4 for decades. My doctor told me "untreated, your sleep apnea is fatal". I feel like I have a new lease on life.
