Re: keeping your mouth closed while sleeping
I was convinced, since I tended to breathe through my mouth before cpap that I needed a full face mask or a chin strap if using nasal pillows or mask. When I first got the machine, they were out of stock of chin straps, so I went home with a Quattro FX. (I didn't want to discover I needed a chin str...

Re: Anyone else here tried the FitBit Flex?
I tried Moves.app for awhile but it started to kill my phone's battery. Since then I got a FitBit one and a FitBit Aria scale. Plugged them in to MyFitnessPal (logging calories) and RunKeeper (tracking walks beyond normal daily walking), and am now dropping weight using the basic principles of The H...

Centrals during wake up time period
I'm a little over two weeks in, and it's going pretty well. No huge noticeable changes, but I feel like I'm sleeping pretty well, and I'm not struggling to cope with the machine overnight. I have a Quattro FX, and just got a Swift FX w/chin strap to try as well 3 nights ago. First night, used the Sw...

Re: Guess DME's think were all complete idiots
I just checked the S9 Clinical Guide, and the only thing in mentioned in regards to the Sleep Quality setting is that it controls whether or not the on-screen Sleep Quality Report is displayed. Does anyone have a S9 AutoSet or Elite be willing to do a quick test of this? Just set Sleep Quality to U...

Re: Effect of various head pillows on OSA?
my rule of thumb is: if its a pillow you arent comfortable with withOUT CPAP, then you arent going to be comfortable with it WITH CPAP. for that reason, I took a pillow I already liked, and made cutouts on the sides for my face and mask like those $60 models on Amazon. works great! What kind of pil...

Re: Effect of various head pillows on OSA?
Do the "CPAP Pillows" really work? I'm new at this, about a week and a half. I haven't really had any issues using the machine or mask, and my stats seem to be pretty good. I don't really feel any different yet, although I didn't really feel "terrible" before being diagnosed either. Traditionally I'...

Re: Just been diagnosed help this newbie
Neither of these have the awful forehead brace that many full-face masks have. The quattro fx does the best job of large leak reduction of any mask I've tried yet. I would also encourage using a PapCap to reduce puffed-out cheeks (blowfish syndrome) and to reduce mask torque. Good luck and sleep we...
