Re: Two Airsense 10 questions
Sorry but I have no idea about any rattles. Not normal though. Have used a couple of AirSense 10 models as well as 3 AirCurve 10 models and I have never experienced it. If you take the water chamber totally out and then handle the machine does it still rattle? Actually yes, that seems to be when it...

Re: Two Airsense 10 questions
Could this be related to a larger leak than the machine likes maybe, and would it then start itself back up in a few seconds? Most definitely a large leak could cause the machine to turn off and restart itself. You can use available software and see what the leak was doing when the machine turned i...

Two Airsense 10 questions
Hi folks, been a while! Two AS 10 questions if anyone knows and is inclined to answer: From seemingly out of nowhere my machine will sometimes decide to shut itself off (literally), and four or five seconds later start back up again Otherwise the machine runs just fine. Could this be related to a la...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Reading between the lines a bit in the Philips announcement they remind the user that the general service life of PAP devices is considered to be 5 years. Does anyone else think that it might be a waste of time to register and seek mitigation with devices older than this? For various reasons I tend...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
My wife has been using a Dreamstation for several years. I tried to steer her to a ResMed but the doc’s DME department prevailed over me. The second I heard about this I immediately grabbed LSAT’s “for her” model that had just gone up so she should be good to go. But when I called the doc yesterday ...

Re: Back sleeping, adjustable beds and cpap
My experience as a previous side sleeper is that I couldn’t get by without an adjustable bed. I couldn’t prevent mask leaks on my side in a flat bed so I had to go to a recliner for several years. The adjustable bed is a huge step up from the recliner. Two hints: be sure to get 100% memory foam (no ...

Strange problem when on battery power
Hi folks, I’m having what seems to me to be a weird problem when my fully charged Medistrom battery is plugged into my Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset machine. Everything works fine when actually using the machine but when you’re done for the night and the machine is off if you leave the battery plugged ...

Is a ResMed branded SD card really necessary?
I made my annual (basically unnecessary) visit to my sleep doc yesterday, pretty much just to keep my relationship active in case I needed a prescription, etc. I've always found his RT needlessly cranky and she's never liked me because I'm a little more independent than their average patient. Last t...

Re: baby wipes
If the object of using a wipe on your mask is to remove facial oil in order to achieve a better seal, it would seem to me that using a baby wipe would be counter productive given that they all contain some type of lotion or oil.

Re: O.T. What's the pH of your poop?
I don't check the PH of it, I don't paint or build walls with it, I don't throw it at people standing outside of my cage, I flush it. Jim Due to metformin, I need to flush at least twice--sometimes the bowl brush is a MUST. NO WAY that (censored) is staying around any longer than I can get ri...

Re: Experience with Tramadol?
I just don't know about this Tramadol. But I'm thinking after 24 hours I may be done with it. I awakened once last night for a nature break, and as strange as it sounds I swear I felt like I was paralyzed. And I took another this morning that seemed to all but put me into a brain fog coma. I seem to...

Experience with Tramadol?
My ortho doc prescribed this for extreme neck pain yesterday, calling it a "muscle relaxer" as opposed to the near-opioid painkiller that online research says that it is. So I took one 50 mg tablet around midnight, and was surprised this morning to see that my machine had maxed out several times at ...
