What to expect at first follow up?
In 2 weeks I have my first follow up with my sleep specialist doctor. Will they just review setting on sd card and adjust machine? I haven't heard if I need to bring the machine, card or both to this visit. How will they make adjustments if needed? Also, my DME set me up with mailers to send in just...

Re: apnea - just diagnosed - effect on marriage
Puleese! Get a grip! My wife laughs at my space mask as I say "Liftoff" and push the button! And just after 3 weeks on APAP, my wife told me yesterday that the machine was worth its weight in gold after I washed and waxed the car after changing the oil, cut the grass and mopped the kitchen floor!!! ...

Posting attachments
Newb question.
I don't see how to post attachments from my computer.
Do I have to post to Flicker first?
I would love to have someone interpret my S9 data.

Re: Feeling better!
Not able to go to sleep on my side.....always start on my back and then whatever happens, happens!LSAT wrote:
When using a CPAP sleeping on your side is the best position. You will have more apneas when on your back.
Maybe a different pillow is in my future.

Feeling better!
I'm into my second week with the CPAP and I noticed my mood perked up after just 2-3 days. Yesterday I felt great! More energy and just ready to go. (even thought about exercising!) Today is also great. I'm hoping after my 1 month appointment any adjustments that may need to be done will be even bet...

For Her??
Maybe a silly question but what is the difference in the S9 autoset and H5i humidifer that has a "for Her" version?
A quick glance at manuals doesn't state much. Don't tell me they are male and female versions!

Re: Brand New and nervous
Hi, I'm new also after just 9 days with a CPAP. The first night was restless as you have a contraption on your face and you're worried about the tubes and just breathing. Second night was much better and now I barely notice it. I didn't have that "burst" of energy but my mental outlook is much brigh...

Re: Question about bathroom breaks.
I don't use a mask and the nasal pillows go on and off easily.
Good responses though!
I also don't use ramp. How long does it usually take to ramp up?

Re: Question about bathroom breaks.
Guess I'm doing it right.
Shut machine off, nasal pillows off, never unplugged the hose.
Pillows on, hit the button and sleep. (no ramp)

Question about bathroom breaks.
May be a silly question, but when going to my one nightly bathroom visit, do you you shut the cpap machine off or just let it blow on the pillow?
I have been turning it off.
One week with the cpap!

Another newbie!
Just found this forum and signed right up! I have moderate apnea, (18 events per hour) and just finished my first week with my Resmed S9 auto set. Nothing major but I feel my mood is getting better! I am hoping that my follow ups and tweaks will make things better also. I hope to get software for my...
