Re: Question about Bipap and central apnea
Well I see lots of number on the bottom.
It says BiPap S/T C-Serios DOM
Ref 1061461
then there's a serial number ending in CB17
a 2.xx in a box
Are any of those the numbers you're looking for?
I don't see a 3 digit number
The pulmonologist said central apneas were the problem.

Question about Bipap and central apnea
I haven't been on this forum in quite a while. You all were very helpful and once they set me up with a BiPap, I thought everything was settled. I went to the Pulmonologist for my 6 month check. I use a Respironics BiPap which I changed to when I started having lots of central apnea. Everything even...

Re: More Doctors are now taking medicare than accepting private
I read the article twice and here's where I find a problem. It states the number of doctors in 2007 and the amount of Medicare patients seen. Then they attempt to prove there are more doctors taking Medicare because the number of Medicare patients increased. Seems to me you can't make that "jump" wi...

Re: Newbie question...monitoring data
Hi - a couple of things, might not sound too positive at first, but they actually are. One is that the vast majority of doctors do not understand or want to learn about data. They are quite happy to look at 'compliance' stats, which just means you're using the machine (and your insce. co. will be h...

Newbie question...monitoring data
I am so impressed with this forum, and with the many, many, informed members who have knowledge of the machines and are willing to help, and interpret data for other members. My question is, what if I don't download the software and interpret the data, or have other members of this forum interpret t...

Re: Newbie question about CPAP machine
Don't worry about how many hours shows on the machine's LCD display when you have been up and turned the machine off during the night. The SD card will have the correct hours immediately. The LCD display is limited by session and how long the machine is turned off. Use the software and you won't ha...

Newbie question about CPAP machine
My question is rather simple: When you get up in the night to go to the bathroom, or whatever, should you turn the machine off...or leave it running (supposing you're only going to be out of bed a few minutes.) Never entered my mind to ask, but last night I got up in the night, turned the machine of...

Re: Why doesn't everyone use a cervical collar?
Have your tried using bolts ... they should help keep your head on straight. http://www.sophiethedog.com/116/images/herman4.jpg [/quote] Well, if they thought it would work, I'd try it I'm beyond the point of worrying how something will look, only care if it helps. I have found since I added the cer...

Re: Why doesn't everyone use a cervical collar?
I have a problem with my head bending toward my chest or sort of sideways toward my shoulder when I'm asleep. I often wake up with my head on my chest or resting on the front of one shoulder. A cervical collar would prevent that, and since I already have a problem with my tongue blocking my airway ...

Re: Why doesn't everyone use a cervical collar?
It seems to me it works by keeping your head in an upright position and not allowing your head to bend so that the chin moves closer to the chest. This puts the soft palate in a position where the CPAP pressure can more easily create an air splint between the soft palate and tongue. I believe when ...

Re: Could someone explain what CFlex is on a Respironics machin?
It's a form of exhale relief. http://cflexplus.respironics.com/ Comfort setting mainly. It was probably more comfortable for you. Each person responds to it differently because the reduction is based on the force of your own breath and everyone tends to breath a bit differently. I didn't care at al...

Could someone explain what CFlex is on a Respironics machin?
I have a Phillips Respironics Remstar Auto A-Flex. I'm a newbie, been using it for about 9 days. I am managing to sleep all night (the info display on the hours I sleep says around 7 hours a night) , but have hit some bumps with dry mouth on occasion, and puffs of air escaping my lips. I'm using a W...
