Re: Been a while

Pugsy, Thanks for all your help. I think I am in good shape now and will keep my ongoing settings at High 7 and Low 5. The 4" Soft cervical collar works best for me for comfort. (I tried 3 and 4 inch - soft and firm). So the reduction in aerophagia is good now at 7.0 and the collar has been the grea...

Re: Been a while

Thank you Pugsy.
I do not know where to look for "Central" apneas.
Is that "Unclassified" apneas?

Re: Been a while

The lower my pressure setting….. the lower my AHI goes, strange? I have battled with aerophagia/gas for a long time with high pressure set between 10 and 13. Thanks to Pugsy, Miss Emerita and Chicago Granny, I now wear a cervical collar either 3” soft or 4” firm. The collars definitely corrected my ...

Re: Been a while

I "just thought" adjusting tight would limit chin tucking the best.
It is not uncomfortably tight.
Collar is Soft, Size - Universal, Height 3.25" and Thickness -1.25"
Thanks

Re: Been a while

Hello Again, I have been monitoring my CPAP settings / numbers for 3 weeks. I was loaded with gas / aerophagia / constipation as a mouth breather/ air swallower with the High setting in double digits. As I have lowered the high pressure settings, the AHI, on average, continued to improve down to a s...

Re: Been a while

Hello, (Pugsy if you are available?) I have been testing a couple weeks now with different pressure settings and have really gotten gassed up with the high pressure set in double digits. I am now trying to avoid so much gas, bloating, constipation and probably dehydration. My current thinking is to ...

Re: Been a while

Thank you for your continued help and guidance Pugsy. I thought you would frown at an AHI over 2.0. I accept my leak rate because the F30i is the best mask I have ever used with respect to leaks with only the mouth covered combined with under the nose nasal style. No side leaks is great since the F3...

Re: Been a while

AHI still good with pressures lowered to: L-7, H-12 Gas/Aerophagia better than at higher settings of low at 8 and high at 13 or 15 but gas still there for hours and annoying. Any suggestions on whether to stay as is for a while and see if aerophagia lessens by itself? Or should I continue lowering f...

Re: Been a while

Last night - Best AHI so far since starting the "magical" cervical collar on Tuesday. Still too much gas/aerophalgia with high setting at 13. But less gas than the night before when set at 15. I will always use the soft cervical collar and flattened pillow. Pressure Monday: Low 8 - High 15 - AHI was...

Re: Been a while

The gas/aerophalgia is something that in the past has built up more and more day after day. I don't feel good (but glad the AHI is lowered considerably) but gas mostly dissapates after a couple hours. For the few months that you did not hear from me I had been set on Low 5 or 6 and High 8 or 9 and I...

Re: Been a while

Hello,
2nd night in a row with soft cervical collar and flat pillow. AHI -Tues. 2.8, Wed. 2.3 But too much aerophalgia.
Setting was at High 15 and Low 10. Tonight plan to set High 13 and Low 8 and see if less gas and the affect on AHI.
