Re: dry mouth despite full face mask
I use a full-face mask, mask liners (which help a lot with leaks), a chin strap, and still get dry mouth. I started using Xylimelts which has helped a LOT with dry mouth. They are funky little tablets that stick to your gums and last most of the night.

Brand new ResMed S9 Autoset from CPAP.com
Our host, CPAP.com, is offering new ResMed S9 Autoset machines for $779 (including humidifier). I was surprised to see them available on their website (they were discontinued a while back), so I called them, and they said they were able to get 16 brand new machines. So, if anyone is wanting to get o...

Re: Anyone have experience using liners?
I am also a BIG fan of mask liners. I have used them for years with a full face mask. I find that they definitely cut down on leaks and also increase the comfort of the mask on my face. I tried the Padacheek liners, but I have had much more success with RemZzzs liners. They are disposable, but I eas...

Re: BRIDGE OF NOSE PRESSURE SORE
I used nasal pillows and chin strap for years, but because of mouth breathing I had to have the chin strap so tight it was really, really uncomfortable, so I switched to a full-face mask. And I also had the same problems with the bridge of my nose. However, your DME's comment about all full-face mas...

Re: RemZzzs work?
I'm a BIG fan of the RemZzzs mask liners (I use a full face mask). I have used them for years. Not only do they really help stop leaks, but they add comfort to the mask in that the plastic of the mask never touches my face directly (only the soft T-shirt material does). I use a liner for about a wee...

Re: For Sale: ResMed S9 Autoset, H5i Humidfier, + many extras
Once the screen is on, press AND HOLD the two buttons just to the right of the screen (the ones with the check marks and the "i") for a few seconds. Once the menu comes up, turn the round knob counter-clockwise until you are on the wrench icon (the bottom one). From that screen, one of the listings ...

I was looking for actual hours based on what the machine reported.

Re: Unusual TSA Checkpoint Experience
I find that the smaller the airport, the more TSA screening is done. In some small airports, I have had my ID and boarding pass checked by two different agents in the same line and always have to take CPAP out. I also find in small airports there are usually quite a large number of TSA agents relati...

Re: Bridge of nose sore from full face mask.
All of the above suggestions are very good. I also used the Mirage Quattro for a while, and no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to stop hurting the bridge of my nose (although unlike yourself, I never had bleeding, but came pretty close). So I ended up trying other full face masks, and I found o...

Re: Mask liners
I am a big fan of mask liners. For me they (1) totally stop leaks and (2) definitely increase my full face mask comfort (no plastic touching my face). I have tried both the Padacheek and the RemZzzs. I like the RemZzzs better. Our host cpap.com sells the RemZzzs. One note about the RemZzzs - I can e...

Re: Sore on the bridge of my nose.
I had the same problems with the bridge of my nose (I was using the Mirage Quattro). I switched to the F&P Simplus. It is sooo gentle on the bridge of my nose. It's one of the highest rated masks on our host's website. I know everyone's face is different, but I find this face mask's treatment of the...

Re: Can't use nasal pillows and need new mask suggestions
Don't rule out full-face masks. I know they're not as popular, but IF you can find a really comfortable one (and this can be a big if) it is really nice to use. Bad ones (uncomfortable or leaking) can be a nightmare, but good ones are a joy, or as much as a mask can be.

Re: RemZzzs full-face mask liners to give away
Yeah, the Mirage Quattro was very hard on the bridge of my nose and the F&P Simplus is very gentle on the bridge of my nose. I find the Simplus an absolutely comfortable and leak-free mask. But obviously from my post, I also use the RemZzzs mask liners, which I find invaluable for comfort and leak p...
