Re: ASV Success Story
the Resmed S9 Asv machine - i've got the one with auto Epap and it is by far the best machine i've used - most comfortable and really controls the apnea, pretty much from the first night i used it. The technician at the sleep lab said that he thinks that it would actually save a huge amount of time...

Re: ASV Success Story
Thanks. I actually had zero centrals until I was put on CPAP. All pressure-induced. Formal diagnosis is "CompSA."icipher wrote:That's very great to hear you're having success. Did you have any central apnea before being treated or has it all been pressure induced apnea?

It's been a long journey since we first saw your very first cpap reports...ugly they were. It's unfortunate that it took as long as it did but believe it or not there are people who it takes years before they get it figured out ... Yup. In fact, I had doctors telling me that "Central Sleep Apnea is...

ASV Success Story
After months of disappointment with CPAP and an AHI of nearly 30.0 (mostly pressure-induced Centrals), I am delighted to report that after a month with my new ASV machine (S9 VPAP Adapt) my average AHI is now .99 It did take a bit of adjustment to the ASV but, boy, was it worth it! And, best of all,...

Yes. Thanks to all who sent me PMs. I wish I had machines to accommodate everyone but, unfortunately, I had just one. It went to someone who I felt was truly in need.StuUnderPressure wrote:Has a winner ever been picked?

Re: Want a nearly new S9 AutoSet w/All Accessories?
Thanks to all for keeping this post visible. I have received a few PMs so far, which is great. However, I would like to give it a few more days to make sure that all in need have had a chance to reach me. Toward that end, your continued periodic "bumps" will be greatly appreciated.

Want a nearly new S9 AutoSet w/All Accessories?
I received a brand new, top-of-the-line ResMed S9 AutoSet complete with H5i Humidifier, Heated Hose, Carrying Case and F&P Eson Nasal Mask in July. However, since I'm one of a small percentage of CPAP users who develop pressure-induced Central Apnea, the S9 AutoSet is, unfortunately, not the right s...

ASV is working!
After 3 months on CPAP with an average AHI of more than 32.00 (almost entirely centrals actually caused by the CPAP) I was finally switched to ASV. Now my AHI is averaging less than 1.5! First time in more than 15 years that I've slept well. ASV definitely takes some getting used to, but it's truly ...

Re: Breaking Bad (Spoiler Alert)
I watched all 5 seasons from start to finish in the span of 1 1/2 weeks. NetFlix? Yes. Netflix has all the episodes from seasons 1-4, and the first 8 episodes from the season 5 (16 episodes in total). The next 4 episodes I had to purchase through Amazon's video service. Then I got the next 3 episod...

Re: Breaking Bad (Spoiler Alert)
I watched all 5 seasons from start to finish in the span of 1 1/2 weeks. An extraordinary experience! I can't imagine how frustrating it would have been to watch one episode per week (with commercials!). If you have the time, you need to see it commercial-free, one episode after another.
