Re: Was my OSA misdiagnosed?
Here is the thing, my APAP has only adjusted upwards a half point from 4.5 to 5 and at 5 it never moves upwards according to the reports. I have tried it at 6 (as my doctor suggested) for a month with no improvement noticed. I have been very consistent with using it nightly and sleep 7-8 hours with ...

Re: Was my OSA misdiagnosed?
So here is an update: SpO2 reports are pretty well the same with or without the CPAP. SpO2 AHI is always below 5 and O2 levels not dropping below 88. The doctor measured me up at around 15 AHI and an O2 low of 82 that I can not duplicate. The main thing is the CPAP is not noticeably increasing my qu...

Re: Was my OSA misdiagnosed?
Spoke with my doctor today and got the results of my overnight titration study. 8 was prescribed but he saw good results at 6. So the doctor said to set it up with a min and max of 6 and see how that works. He also thinks I would be a good candidate for an oral appliance instead of the CPAP.

Re: Is anyone here taking NuVigil? If so, what are your thoughts
Hey there. No one has posted here for over a year but I am gonna give it a shot. I was prescribed Nuvigil for excessive fatigue. I just started Nuvigil 2 days ago. First day I couldn't judge if it was working as the night before I actually slept well. So I wasn't sure if I felt ok due to the Nuvigi...

Re: Was my OSA misdiagnosed?
The wife said that she could hear the APAP ramp up last night several times. 95th Percentile Pressure 4.5 90th Percentile Pressure 4.5 AHI 1.0 Pressure Plateau Time 0% High Leak Flow Time 0% NRI 0.25 EPI 1 Probably best if i stop worrying about it, set it on auto from 4-10 and test my O2 levels over...

Re: Just received my bill for my overnight sleep test
With my insurance I only had to pay $1150 out of pocket. I must have got a deal!

Re: Was my OSA misdiagnosed?
Let's look at your data numbers. Before you had a basal SpO2 of 93.4% and an average pulse of 66.6 bpm. Last night you had a basal SpO2 of 92.7% and an average pulse of 69.3 bpm. Not a lot of change... Looking at the distribution graphs it appears that it took you longer to get to sleep last night ...

Re: Was my OSA misdiagnosed?
Well I am going to try straight CPAP at 8 and see if there is any different results. I am really wondering if the doctors are barking up the wrong tree at this point.

Re: Was my OSA misdiagnosed?
I guess my concern is the pulse events and O2 events have not really moved. I have ordered strap type heart rate data logger to see if it will give me different results. BTW: I hardly ever snore unless I have a had a couple drinks in me. I got referred from my endocrinologist due to low testosterone...

Re: Was my OSA misdiagnosed?
Here are two SpO2 charts the first is before using the APAP and the second is during the use of the APAP. I don't see any real difference do you? Re: Where to order online
If you are paying out of pocket like I did, look for coupon codes from online sellers and people selling machines privately on forums. I found a brand new machine for $100 less than the best price online from a private seller. Used is also an option.

Re: Was my OSA misdiagnosed?
I am using a WISP mask and it seems to seal fine but if I route the hose through the top of the frame it pushes down on the bridge of the nose. So I am just doing to pull it out of the frame and use it that way.
