Re: One day you will be able to purchase a CPAP at WALMART
I see we both agree My point is that sleep test and prescriptions should be optional. I believe that everyone who actually needs a cpap machine and have no insurance and no prescription should be allowed to purchase one with his or her own money. That's the whole issue from the beginnig.

Re: One day you will be able to purchase a CPAP at WALMART
I really think you need a psiquiatric evaluation the sooner the better The whole point in this post was to bring into an intelligent discussion the fact that we don't have the FREEDOM to decide what's best for ourselves without the mediation of bureaucratic institutions in America. It is your stupid...

Re: One day you will be able to purchase a CPAP at WALMART
THANK YOU!!!! The whole point in this post was to bring into an intelligent discussion the fact that we don't have the FREEDOM to decide what's best for ourselves without the mediation of bureaucratic institutions in America. Americans (we) are being "domesticated" to be patronized in everything. "Y...

Re: Making sense of CSA... Use your LOGIC!
you're right and snoring may or not occur but it is in itself a sign of breathing obstruction nonetheless. I haven't been burned by anyone and I'm not angry at anyone here however yes... I'm angry at one thing only and that is the monopoly the business of healthcare system in this country that preve...

Re: A Question regarding Central Apnea
I have never heard about a single case of CSA without some sort of obstruction in the airways, have you? Yes... I have and lots of them. 3 potential diagnoses available in terms of sleep apnea types This is the shortened explanation as I don't have time for the long one. DIY...do it yourself dial a...

Re: Making sense of CSA... Use your LOGIC!
yes exactly! Prevent the occurrence of the first will undeniably stop the second from happening... My point in trying to make sense in all this discussion is that the more complex and obscure the sleep experts are trying to make it look the easier they can ask for your money and charge abusively the...

Re: One day you will be able to purchase a CPAP at WALMART
Now... allow me to illustrate you with another example of how erroneous a sleep test was with one of my co-worker (By the way... not a TRUCKER) He was diagnosed with apnea and the set pressure was 6, but he was given a testing machine that had a chip connected to a SIM so the doctor can monitor the...

Re: Making sense of CSA... Use your LOGIC!
(resuming) Those blood factors mentioned before are like miniature sensors that send a signal to our brain to begin a breathing push. They act exactly like the insulin sensors we have in the body only that insulin helps glucose to reach the cells and the brain cells while the ones controlling the le...

Making sense of CSA... Use your LOGIC!
Allow me to "import" from Wikipedia the concept first: "...In pure central sleep apnea, the brain's respiratory control centers are imbalanced during sleep. Blood levels of carbon dioxide, and the neurological feedback mechanism that monitors them, do not react quickly enough to maintain an even res...

Re: One day you will be able to purchase a CPAP at WALMART
A similar story is about a man starting work at a 100% robotic manufacturing plant. The only living creatures are the man and a guard dog. The dog is for security, and the man is there to feed the dog. And then, again, it is possible the dog is better at the job than a man would be, because the dog...

Re: A Question regarding Central Apnea
My original DX is for Complex Sleep Apnea with Centrals and OSAs during the sleep study. My question is, if SleepyHead readings are just showing mostly Hypopneas and a few Apneas and nothing in the OSA category in the 'Events Graph', can I assume that the Apneas I'm getting are actually Centrals? I...

Re: One day you will be able to purchase a CPAP at WALMART
What do you or doctors know about CSA? A malfunction in the thalamus region? what else? Do they have some sort of technique to help relief in C.S.A.? Most apnea sufferers have OSA and CSA combined and that makes sense. I will get to this point in a moment but let me ask you a question so you could a...

Re: One day you will be able to purchase a CPAP at WALMART
On the other hand you have an exact AHI from an intelligent machine that is showing the rate of your improvements as you [meaning YOU AS YOURSELF] changed the set pressure up or down according to what the machine is suggesting you to do. Is this dependency and ignorance of the actual health issue by...
