New. Could really use the group's help.
I posted on here last year, desperate. A result was that I bought a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset to replace my Resmed S8 elite. However the Airsense doesn't do a well as the S8. I can post screen shots or whatever's needed from my Airsense for the group to examine. It can be from Sleepyhead , ResCan, ...

Re: Losing confidence in doc, what to do
Greetings, Fellow Sleep Questers, Today I bought a brand new Resmed Airsense 10 autoset machine. I will be letting y'all know how it works for me. Thanks again to everyone who replied a while back. Regards, Tom PS: I did a <lot> of research and this machine seems to be about as good as I could do. I...

Re: Losing confidence in doc, what to do
Thanks to everyone for such heartfelt support. I will take your collective advice. Starting tomorrow, which is the free, walk-in clinic at Lincare, the DME company. I've decided to go back and 1. Ask to borrow the Resmed auto cpap machine for free again. 2. tell them that I insist on them giving ME ...

Re: Losing confidence in doc, what to do
I was fortunate that after I walked out of my titration study after a panic attack, I was able to request a full data auto CPAP in order to find the right settings for me -- based on something I read in the forums. Armed with data and a bit more knowledge (learned in the forums), I requested a chan...

Re: Losing confidence in doc, what to do
[ The first year, I tweaked my therapy with a straight-pressure CPAP. It's not that hard to do. Unless you have complicated therapy......like lots of Central Apneas, you should be able to figure it out with a data-capable machine and software to read the data. A ResMed Elite machine is fully data-c...

Re: Losing confidence in doc, what to do
We have many forum members who have not only self titrated but self diagnosed. If all that is going on is plain jane vanilla obstructive sleep apnea with no complicating factors. Takes a bit of work and education on your part but it isn't all that difficult. Here's a trusted forum member with the l...

Re: Losing confidence in doc, what to do
I suspect you could do a fine job with an autocpap machine. We have a number of people on the forum who would be able to help you make sense of the data and self-titrate. This is exactly my long term goal. Exactly. It's really comforting to know that other people are doing it and that I can lean on...

Re: Losing confidence in doc, what to do
Have you got copies of the report from your loaner machine? I would suggest you get copies of all your medical records, particularly tests results, before you cut ties. It may be that non patients have to jump through more hoops to get their records, not sure about with your doc. If you don't have ...

Re: Losing confidence in doc, what to do
Your life is your business. As a business owner it is up to you to have staff that helps you in certain areas that you are not trained or experienced in. Your medical team is paid by you and you should expect the best performance from them. If they fall short, fire them and replace them. Amen to th...

Re: Losing confidence in doc, what to do
Sorry to read this... You need to find another Doc who will be some help. I see in your profile that you are using a brick so NO way to tell what is happening with your therapy. Many people here do go it alone.. The people here have alot of wisdom and could probably guide you along. I wish you well...

Losing confidence in doc, what to do
I've been on CPAP for years. It worked well for a while, then started losing its benefit. I had confidence at one time in the physicians assistant at the local university hosptial/sleep clinic/neurology but she dropped the ball the last time i was loaned an apap machine. she was faxed the titration ...
