Re: Choosing a Battery
Hi Lane, Sorry to resurrect on old post here. I've built my 35Ah battery for my wife's CPAP and its working well in testing, now I am looking to build a smaller 20Ah battery to be able to recharge electronics and blow up our air mattresses. This is what I am looking at and was wondering of your inp...

Re: I Can NOT Find My Machine: or Mask: Listed! Just Humidifier: HumidAire 2i Heated Humidifier! Under [ Edit Profile],
Since My AHI is 136, without the APAP &/0r VPAP, With it My AHI is 1 - 2, forgot the Exact #. I had 136 Apneas Per Hour!! Before APAP. I am surprised that My Pressures weren’t 15cmH2O — 20cmH2O, not 4cmH2O — 8cmH2O?!?!? There is no direct correlation between sleep study AHI and the pressure needed ...

Re: Best CPAP/APAP bundle for $600?
Four people (including you) on this thread either outright endorsed or said the Dreamstation was an OK choice, and your exact words were “they’re better than most other brands” so not sure how I blew off yours or others’ advice. In any event thanks and I do appreciate your passion. The DreamStation...

Re: Real men DO use RAMP
... There seems to be a reluctance to use ramp because it is understood ONLY AS A “comfort” feature. But it has a second very useful function. So... if you set ramp= 15 minutes, then for the first 15 minutes while you are falling asleep, events are not recorded. This true for both CPAP and APAP mod...

Re: CPAP Battery pack problem, and a new battery pack prospect
Has anybody actually measured the power consumption, or is everybody just going on the resmed battery guide? Yes. ResMed has measured it! So... No Too Funny! Re: Choosing a Battery
Thank you so much, Loki! Okay, so I've added a couple of the things you suggested: the final setup in my cart now is: ... This all looks good. As for measuring the battery state, that's always a problem. Voltage roughly corresponds to State of Charge, but there are a lot of variables so you really ...

Re: CPAP Battery pack problem, and a new battery pack prospect
You have two issues: first of all, the new Airsense uses almost twice the power of the S9. You don't mention your pressure setting, but at 10 it will use almost 100 watt-hours a night. Has anybody actually measured the power consumption, or is everybody just going on the resmed battery guide? Yes. ...

Re: CPAP Battery pack problem, and a new battery pack prospect
It's on my Wish list. My old Escape is slowing losing charge, meaning I need t re-charge it more often (every 2-3 months). I use an S9 and Amazon comments report up to 5 nights wo humidifier. I forget which version of the Goal Zero Escape you have, but the battery is generally replaceable for $35 t...

Re: CPAP Battery pack problem, and a new battery pack prospect
I have a "Super CPAP battery pack" Li-ion battery pack (model is C-222, spec'd at 222Wh) from about 7 years ago. This battery pack has 5 LED's for "state of charge" indication, 4 LED's for the level, and one LED that goes on only to indicate "low charge". This battery pack has been great while it w...

Re: CPAP Friendly Hotels
Here are some suggestions. Does anybody have anything to add to the list? Aren't these issues that would affect all hotel guests? Why does using a cpap make me so special? For a hotel to be CPAP-friendly, it should meet the following criteria: • A bedside night table large enough to accommodate a l...

Re: Best CPAP/APAP bundle for $600?
Thanks Pugsy I don't know the mask just yet I am researching. The main issue for me is that I have been a stomach sleeper for decades not sure if there is anything out there for that. I do sleep with my head to the side but I am on my stomach most of the night. I appreciate the offer of the machine...

Re: Requesting Reviews of Snoring Apps
Asking for a friend. Her FitBit shows "awake" over one hour each night. But, she doesn't remember awakening any. She thinks she snores mildly. I've had the last several fitbit watches that record sleep - I've found them to be rather inaccurate for the details - it shows sleep if you lie very still,...

Re: Choosing a Battery
Thx for the feedback; newbie here so I need all the advice I can get. I need multi-night (3+) off grid operation for backpacking. So, it seems my choices are the Zopek (3# & $250) or two Z2 powered pack batteries (3.2# & $790). I think both have solar capability so, that may also be an option. For ...
