Re: How do you clean your Sleepweaver Elan?

I have two Sleepweaver Advance masks, and wash them about once a week. I remove the headgear from the mask, and place the mask in a small lingerie bag, then into my front-loading washing machine on the hand wash cycle, with a mild, scent-free detergent. I don't wash the headgear as often. I have had...

Re: Advance and Elan--Which Has The Most Comfortable Headgear?

I've tried both, and ended up preferring the Advance. I actually prefer the headgear on the Elan, however, but I could not eliminate the leaks with that mask. From my experience, the SleepWeaver masks are very sensitive to differences in facial anatomy, and the only way to find out which will work f...

Re: Argh! My machine's SD card doesn't fit into SD card reader

Most SD card readers are designed to accept several different types and form factors of memory cards, besides regular SD cards. Because of this, the slot may look like it's too large or the wrong shape for the SD card. Sometimes there will be several different slots on the reader, and the SD card wi...

Re: Encouraging SleepyHead Donations for Mark's Past Work!

I just sent off a small donation as well. As a rookie hosehead, SleepyHead has enabled me to learn about my treatment, and helped me understand and manage my condition and therapy. I've been a user and supporter of all kinds of free and open source software for many years, and I was very pleased to ...

Re: SleepWeaver mask leaks

That is good. The tube is really nice. Yes, I'm really happy with my DME so far. They're very accommodating and helpful. Not at all like some of the horror stories I've read on this forum, thankfully! I look forward to trying the featherweight tubing, it should reduce the likelyhood of leaks due to...

Re: SleepWeaver mask leaks

The second night with the SleepWeaver Advance went much better! Thanks, Stormynights, for the advice! After washing my face, I quickly achieved a good seal when I put the mask on. Then I slept a full five hours before I woke up to a significant leak. It took a little fiddling to regain a good seal, ...

Re: SleepWeaver mask leaks

I used this mask before I got the Elan. I would at times wear an eye mask if I needed it to keep air out of my eyes. Make sure you wash your face before putting it on and don't over tighten it. It should do very well at your pressure. This brand has a different type venting so some leaking is expec...

SleepWeaver mask leaks

Hello all, I am fairly new to CPAP therapy, with about six weeks on the hose. In that time, I've been able to try several different masks, thanks to a DME that is very helpful and willing to loan masks for testing at home. After the first week or so, I settled on the Swift FX nasal pillows, and even...
