Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I just now got off the phone with an agent of the Settlement Administrator (insert appropriate echo) and Maryanne told me that they do NOT have access to any account info in regard to the Device Replacement Award. This award will be sent out in the early Spring of 2026, kinda like where we are now,...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I haven't heard or seen anything about a settlement I returned their machine years ago and they sent me a replacement and then I was told not to use it Because they hadn't really fixed the problem according to the FDA You had to sign up for the class action settlement and the deadline was around 18...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I've never been paid for the cost of my replacement device, even though I, according to them, qualified for the award. You say that you just received a check? I guess that I had better check the mail today, we have a PO box, and I have to pick up my mail from the post office in town. Yes, I got a c...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I was wrong about them not making a payment on my claim in January. They wrote me a check on the 29th. It appears they paid 100% of my cost of buying a replacement device. The check is for over $700! I was expecting maybe $200 at most as I figured the $15 million for replacement machines would be wa...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I didn't get my payment during the January payment cycle. I may have to contact the court since they aren't fulfilling the terms of the settlement. It has been more than a year since payment for my first approved claim, and nearly 18 months since the signup deadline. I have a second approved claim. ...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
It has been nearly a year since I got paid for my first claim. I still have a second claim that has not been paid. I call the administrator this morning and they verified my claim is approved, but it is still pending. They are only disbursing funds every three months now so the next possible payment...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I received the payment for my first CPAP, but not for the second CPAP. I submitted for the first one in December 2023, and for the second one in April 2024. My experience with calling the administrator is they can't look up anything.

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
At some point in reading the fine print and disclaimers in the original settlement offer, it was stated that the payments for the Device Replacement Awards wouldn't start going out till all other awards have been paid. I'm not holding my breath for this one as I'm sure that the money will 'run out'...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I am not surprised that device replacement awards are taking the longest. There was only $15 million to cover all device replacement claims. That said, even a junior developer could write a program to prorate the money across all claims in a week or two, although such a program probably already exis...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I can't recall - did people get a cash payment or a replacement machine? Or did they get both? I did not get a cash payment. I think their original offer was $50 which I considered insulting. There are two separate things going on here. The recall offered either a replacement CPAP machine, or a $50...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I got an email yesterday with a virtual credit card for $153. I forgot I chose the Virtual Mastercard for payment instead of a check. I am not sure if that is my total payout. I had two recalled machines plus I put in for reimbursement for buying a replacement machine. Edit: This can't be my total p...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
I went through the online process, three times, and nothing. The third time was because I paid out of pocket for a new CPAP to replace a recalled one. My understanding is you are supposed to get a payout without doing anything at all if you went through the recall process with Philips.

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement
Just now got off the phone with a Settlement Administrator or three. I had to make three phone calls to three different people before I just now gave completely up on receiving any reimbursements from this BS settlement. I am getting the feeling I will get nothing from the settlement too. I will pr...

Re: Why dooes a DME need full copy of sleep study to sell me supplies?
I somehow doubt my insurance company has a copy, but maybe. The last time I got a new CPAP machine my insurance company wanted to rent it until it was paid off. My employer switch to a new insurance provider on Jan 1 of the next year. The new insurance company wanted to immediately pay off the remai...

Re: Why dooes a DME need full copy of sleep study to sell me supplies?
This was two separate locally owned DMEs. They are not related in any way so far as I know. I only gave my prescription and sleep study information to the first DME. I contacted them after not hearing from them for a month, and they said they were trying to get the full sleep study results from the ...
