Airfit F-20 Headgear and Mask Sizes
So I switch from an Resmed Airfit F-10 mask to an F-20 mask about a month ago. It's been mostly ok. Some nights better than others. The mask tends to shift around a lot more than my previous mask. This causes a moderate amount of leaks and wakes me up. The top strap that goes over the head on the F-...

Re: Weird Airfit F20 mask question
I have the opposite problem. The standard mask headgear fits well except for the strap that goes over my head. I wish they made that thing adjustable.
I think I might try and get my DME a small headgear to try. I'm worried it maybe too tight though.

Airfit F-20
Hi. I'm Just finished my second night using a ResMed Airfit F-20 mask. I was previously using an Airfit F-10. I'm having some trouble getting this mask adjusted properly. I think my mouth may be slipping too far open while sleeping. I also get "puffy cheeks". I think the cushion maybe the right size...

Re: Full Face Mask + Chinstrap?
Do you use a nylon or elastic bike strap? I hate chin straps due to the wrap-around tightness they present, so this is the device I like to use: http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s674/tddare789/PRIVATE%20TO%20CPAP%20TALK/chinstrapbikestrap_zps9b621234.jpg It's a bike cuff strap that I use to keep ...

DME
Hi. Does anybody here have Horizon BCBS NJ Direct Access insurance? If so what DME do you use to get supplies? I recently changed insurances and my DME no longer excepts my insurance. I tried using Horizon’s website and app to find a DME that is covered, but it doesn’t seem to be working correctly. ...

Re: Tearing off mask in middle of the night
The thing is, I am NOT a new user. I've been sleeping with a CPAP since January of 2015 and have used these two masks the whole time. Before I started removing the Nuance Pro, I'd spent months sleeping with it more or less happily for at least half the night. Now I've switched the the Wisp again, i...

Re: Using a hose cover on a heated hose.
that's one of the other major reasons I like it - I always ran mine over the headboard and it used to rattle like mad when the little ribs would bump across the headboard - drove me crazy - hose cover stopped all that. Same here! I'll have to try it with my heated hose. I read somewhere not to put ...

Re: System One heated hose upgrade
To check on what series your machine is: Remove the humidifier tank. Turn your machine over and look on the bottom of the blower unit. You'll see a model number that looks like REFxxx or DSxxx. If the xxx is x5x its a Series 50 machine If the xxx is x6x its a Series 60 machine. Thanks. Looks like I...

Need Help Psychologically With CPAP
I remember it being hard to adjust to at first. I have been on for two years now and I still battle with my mask on occasion. Finding the right mask and learning through practice how to adjust it helped me. I ended up going back for a CPAP "nap" to try on different masks. I use a FF hybrid mask and ...

Thanks! I was wondering about that. I guess it works ok even if I don't plug in the sensor?Tatooed Lady wrote:I have the upgrade. Love it. And you can swap back and forth from heated to non heated hose if you leave the new 80 watt cord attached.

System One heated hose upgrade
Thanks Everybody! I'm not sure if mine is a 50 or 60 series. I'll have to check.
Anybody have luck getting the DME to at least pay for a replacement hose?
Also, what do you do about cleaning the heated hose? I'm guessing you have to be careful not to get the electronics wet.

System One heated hose upgrade
Since the weather is getting colder at night I am having problems with rainout. I see that Philips Responics sells an upgrade kit for the regular system one machines so they can be upgraded to use a heated hose. I was wondering if anyone had done this and what the result was. Also, I'm not sure if m...
