Re: Swift FX Bella, any ideas???
just in case this is viewed at a later date... don't use cotton yarn to attach the pieces, it stretches, I ended up using a 3/4" ribbon

Re: your experiences with chin straps?
I was orig. prescribed a chin strap and used it, but found when I had my humidifier on I didn't open my mouth when sleeping... I only mouth breath when I have a sever sinus infection... they normally do not use any humidifiers in sleep studies, I understand it can cause problems in some of their rea...

Re: Swift FX Bella, any ideas???
Have you tried using a hose hanger to keep the hose suspended above you so that there is no hose weight dragging or pulling against your mask? Regards, Nate I've tried using one before and it freaked me out to have something hanging over me, so no I haven't tried one with the new mask, but probably...

Re: Swift FX Bella, any ideas???
When fitting the Swift FX and using the Bella Loops make sure to do the final fitting laying down in bed. The weight of the hose pulling on the loops affects fitting. There is a very fine line with fitting the Loops so there is enough tension to keep the pillows stable and not pinch the ears. is th...

Swift FX Bella, any ideas???
I have been using an OptiLife for over 5 years but I have long, fine, slick hair and have to braid it and tuck the braid over the bottom strap to keep my mask in place, and I get strap marks that last for a couple of hours. Also, I cannot have any mask parts that come into my line of sight, so the d...

Re: Do you have a regular Dr and a sleep Dr?
My primary care didn't/wouldn't do a sleep study but he referred me originally (7 years ago) to a pulmonologist that did sleep studies/cpap referrals, I have since changed (about 3 years ago) to a ENT that has a sleep center and worked with me a bit better, by my experience, having a sleep doctor is...

Re: TAP PAP, DME and Medicare?
wow... thanks for the info on the bella https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-swift-fxbella-nasal-pillow-cpap.html, I will make sure to have my supplier get that for me to try... would love not having straps behind my head all the time, but since it comes with the regular headgear, too, I could us...

Re: TAP PAP, DME and Medicare?
You know there's the Oracle...have you seen it? It's strictly oral though. I would have a problem with it because you can't breath through your nose with it and I have to be able to breathe through my nose or I am totally miserable and can't sleep. Have you looked at any of the nasal prong masks? j...

Re: allergies
I had issues with this when I started my CPAP regime, I found that dialing up my heat in the humidifier helped a lot, but love the idea of a cotton ball with essential oils also I know the allergen filters that come with my antiquated machine (no data and no longer made) help a lot, I would try thos...

have you actually looked at one and is that possible... the pictures show that that would only blow air to my chinSleepyToo2 wrote:Just put the TapPap in upside down, to cover the lower teeth instead of the uppers? Maybe when I get my next one I'll try it with the one I am using right now. Or not.

Re: TAP PAP, DME and Medicare?
thanks for the link... after looking at it they aren't compatible and I know from experience I can't have a hose (or anything else) in front of my eyes... but I love this idea, hope they make a version with a dropped tube
