Re: Respironics hums on exhale.
I just received my WISP mask and wanted to try this out to see if it was maybe the old GOLife mask i had before that was making the low hum on exhale. About 5:30am I could hear the low hum with the WISP so i know it is not the mask. It only seems to do it when the machine has been running for more t...

Re: WISP Nasal Mask from respironics.
I wore my WISP mask for the first time last night it seemed alright but i could feel water in the mask not sure if it was from sweat or the humidifier was on to high, which is was on 4 out of 5. Also later into the night it seemed like it was harder to breath not sure if i was getting a stuffy nose ...

Respironics hums on exhale.
My respironics has a hum on the exhale and it is loud enough to keep me awake. I have tried to adjust c-flex and move hoses around but nothing seems to work. This machine is only about 2 weeks old. Any suggestions on what else to check.

Re: Apria v. Lincare: please chime in
I think it just depends on your person. I have Lincare and so far i really like the guy the runs that route. He calls me back very quickly and brings me what i need and calls and make sure everything is good.

Re: Time to choose my machine
Good advice. I just called my DME and he said I have to have a prescription for the auto machines. But he did say insurance would pay for it. I would go with the respironics for the price.

Re: Time to choose my machine
So the respironics has a little more and better data than the Resmed? Are they both auto to where they would make up for leaks and etc... I'm in the same boat still want to move up to a nicer machine.

Re: Turning the air pressure up on cpap.
Great advise, i'm looking into trying the WISP nasal mask instead of the nasal pillows. Also i am new at all this so what is the difference between CPAP and BIPAP i only have moderate sleep apnea. Would an all data CPAP machine be a good answer and worth fighting for?
