8 years later they say I DO have sleep apnea
So I joined in 2013 after having weird test results and then a crazy run around of my results. My child does have sleep apnea and has been on CPAP since 2013. Then I had two further studied that were home studies and nothing because I didn't sleep (they'd start the study at 9 pm and run to 4 am) . L...

Re: Heated tube
Thanks for everyone! I will need a heated hose after reading. I am in MI, half of year are winter. My room temp usually below 60 at night (save money for heating...><). And my old bipap have a heated humidifier since my mouth always opened when I sleep. So I used a full face mask. I think you will ...

Re: Just getting started
I see. Well they also call the website we put our info dreammapper and its connected to encore which is so confusing. I have a dreammapper card reader app on my computer too. The disconnects thing is annoying. I'd rather take my card somewhere but they don't let us basically, "encore" is the profes...

Re: Just getting started
Nope ours takes the info from Dream Mapper. It's a computer app and then transfers it to the website (https://www.mydreammapper.com/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=%2FHome%2FSleep) We've not had a download from anything except from this for two years now. They just get on our profile and print the stuff fr...

Re: Just getting started
Yes it sounds like he's using Dream Mapper by Respironics (or something similar). Our DME uses downloads off of Dream Mapper and they are constantly getting onto us because of the disconnects and the odd 'readings' it gets when you get up for bathroom breaks or after naps. dreammapper is just the l...

Re: Just getting started
Hi & welcome... I'm a little confused by your keeping score with mask removals for night time and naps... what is it you see as being scored, and that 'shouldn't count'? I think he's talking about those silly apps that resmed and respironics are pushing, as an alternative to real data. Yes it sound...

Re: nasal pillows and zits
Cpap mask wipes are good. Also they make face cleaning wipes and if your skin is getting oily I'd suggest using one before putting on the mask every night

Ty for explaining foe. Is that how you block on this board? I was confused because I never said anything about contacting techs yes, you still see that they posted *something* but it condenses whatever down to just a one line notice, that you can look at if you want to. avi.... circles around in av...

Re: Long time no see!!
SleepyonMagnoliaSt, if those techs whom you expect to provide you the test results see your posts here and decide that you're a trouble maker then they might refuse to provide you, personally, the results and ask to deal only with an MD physician. In such a case they would be relying on the HIPPA c...

Re: Long time no see!!
Has anyone here who had a home study remember how long it took to get results? Might I get mine this coming week? My results were ready in only two days. Picked up the device on a Tuesday, turned it in on Wednesday, got a call from the sleep clinic that same Friday to make the appointment. Ty! If I...

Re: Long time no see!!
Another link that says kids can outgrow apnea just fyi, I've read some stuff on that blog, and it seems they play fast and loose with what they say... at least the things I've read. Ah thanks for the info. I trust my kids sleep doctor over online stuff honestly. She told me and I believe her. My ki...
