Re: DME Billing for rental frustration
To Clarify: My insurance deductible is paid and the ins will cover 90% of the machine. I am just frustrated they are charging me rent for a machine I bought outright! You are right about them not refunding money, They just give you a "credit". I'll just be patient and see if the 2nd call from my ins...

DME Billing for rental frustration
I started CPAP in April. Paid $500.00 up front for my cost. Blue cross coverage. Insurance allowed $340.00. Now my DME is telling me the first two months were rental and ins will only cover 50%. I never agreed to rental and thought I was purchasing the machine. I should have $150.00 credit but inste...

ASV Machine Centrals at beginning of sleep cycle
17 days in, By my sleepyhead results, I noticed a pattern of CA events (15-20) within the first 30 minutes of sleep.
I am on an ASV machine. (never been on CPAP) Could this be me "fighting" the machine?
I keep hearing that ASV takes longer to get used to...

Re: Slight Headache in morning Still tired afternoon
Thanks Pugsy,
I'll have to exercise some patience.
I do have a follow up in about 30 days.
My Oximeter was provided by DME and turned in next day.
I guess Complex Apnea will take some time to correct...

Re: Slight Headache in morning Still tired afternoon
Last night 93 events with 7:06 duration
Divide by 93 = approximately 4.5 seconds.
Cluster of centrals in first hour then random Hypop through night.

Re: Slight Headache in morning Still tired afternoon
Realized I hadn't asked a question...
Are the headaches normal or should I ask for adjustment with the results posted

AHI at 9.5 average after 8 days with ASV machine
I have just started this new machine and my AHI still hovers around 9. Is this normal for an ASV machine? My initial AHI in sleep study was 90.

Re: Feeling obsessive about sleep
Sounds a lot like checking your weight every day. I think I may fall back to once a week to monitor improvement.
Thanks for the help
