Re: OT: Why do dogs..
My dog's love affair with bunnies had him bring one in to the house without my seeing it it his mouth, He headed straight for my bed hiding it in his paws with his head over it. Unfortunately when I saw it and went to remove it, it was LOADED with fleas. The dogs went straight into my car, off to t...

Re: A DME Brick Intervention
I completely agree here. I had the same problem battling for a month with my old DME in getting my BiPAP switched out for an Auto BiPAP. The DME kept claiming that my Sleep Study did not warrant switching to an Auto. I even called my insurance company and spoke to them about switching...Insurance c...

Re: A DME Brick Intervention
Good for you, VikingGnome! I hope they were successful in getting the brick exchanged! Ironically, rather than the DME, it's our insurance that is stopping my husband from getting something other than the brick he has had for years. He is having terrible mouth leaks with the old machine since incre...

OT: Reporting in from the heart of "Tornado Alley"
Just wanted to let those of you who might be wondering know that my husband, daughter, and I were out of town overnight. My husband was able to take off work a couple of hours early and we got out of town just before the first tornado was sighted. Believe me, I was keeping an eye on the sky! The way...

Re: OT: where would you go in a tornado?
4> Don't live in Moore, OK. ... W. Texas is close enough Better to laugh than cry, right? Prediction for tomorrow (Guess that would actually be today! I really need to get to sleep!) is that the strike zone is about 15-20 miles north of Moore. Guess where I live! We're going down to Lake Texoma for...

Re: OT: where would you go in a tornado?
Where I live the problem is that we get so many tornado warnings that we don't pay attention to them. They used to be like that in Joplin and in Moore. A couple EF 5s will cure you of complacency. You got that right! Looking at this in person will cure you in a hurry! May 20, 2013 Tornado Damage EF...

Re: OT: where would you go in a tornado?
We are talking seriously about getting a storm shelter! When the sirens start going off, the first thing I do is check the TV to see where it is! Seriously, though... the tornado that ripped through Moore was initially headed for OK county which is where I am. It's just that I'm on the north side of...

Re: AHI 131 !! - Help me understand my SleepStudy & CPAP results
Wow, Kenwood! Were you actually asleep? I know, sometimes when I'm just getting settled and falling asleep, but not quite completely out, I have extra events. Of course, nothing like that! But, I wasn't anywhere near the AHI you had, either! Last night, I had extra hypopneas and flow limitations whe...

Re: OFF TOPIC- Our Friends in Oklahoma
I talked to my DME. He said he was unaware of any organization that would provide CPAPs in an emergency such as this and it would be an issue since an Rx is required. However, the DMEs are required to have an emergency plan in place. He has a database of all his patients by zip code. He has already ...

Thanks, everyone! I've been a little pre-occupied today. Chunky, I like the un-birthdays! That means I get to celebrate all year, right?
