Re: For those of you with a fitbit
Thanks for the info, but I do have another question. The FitBits say they have wireless synching with iPhones and some Android phones. My Android is not on the list. Do you have an iPhone? How do you get the data to the website?
Thanks!
Kate
Thanks!

Re: For those of you with a fitbit
Thanks, quietmorning. I am starting a diet and exercise program today and was looking at the FitBit Flex, but it is 2 1/2 to 3 months back-ordered! Which device do you have? I am not sure if this is worth waiting for or to go with one of the other FitBit models or another company all together. Bless...

Re: OT: Low-Salt Diet Ineffective
Our research is critically flawed. We look at one thing at a time - so we miss the Forrest for the blade of grass!! Hmmm... I think that a study that uses multiple variables can often be very misleading unless they are very very careful to consider all possibilities, which becomes more and more dif...

Re: Cpap not working?
Welcome, Sleepywolf! There are LOTS of tricks and encouragement to be found here First, if your mask is leaving a painful red mark (most likely a pressure sore!) either the mask does not fit and you should be using a different mask or different size mask or you have to adjusted too tight over the no...

Re: Memorial Day
A Lament We who are left, how shall we look again Happily on the sun or feel the rain Without remembering how they who went Ungrudgingly and spent Their lives for us loved, too, the sun and rain? A bird among the rain-wet lilac sings– But we, how shall we turn to little things And listen to the bird...

Re: Happy Newbie + Hose/Mask/Water question
Is all condensation "rain out" and caused by the same thing? I have a heated hose and I tried something new...cranked it up to 5 last night. I noticed this morning some "dew" on the inside of my mask. Not a lot though. I figured it might just be from my own moisture or maybe need to tone down the h...

Re: watery eyes
any one have watery eyes from cpap use? Any solutions? If nighttime eye gel doesn't help, then maybe wearing an eye mask for sleeping to protect your eyes from air flow or moisture-preserving goggles such as these "Tranquil Eyes" (I love these!) http://www.eyeeco.com/category/icategory_id/37/tranqu...

Re: Happy Newbie + Hose/Mask/Water question
(cut) I had water in my mask which woke me up. There was a couple of tablespoons of water in the hose too. I have a new System One RemStar Pro and I had the humidifier on. Is this normal? I could try without the humidifier but I am pretty sure it will dry me out. Thanks for any input and it is terr...

Re: Overdoing waking CPAP
I will often put on my CPAP when I'm sitting in the recliner watching TV and working on the computer, in case I drift off to sleep. I've found I end up continuing to use the CPAP for hours and hours while I'm still awake. Can anyone think of any disadvantages to doing this? For me, I think it wold ...

Re: Oxygen in addition to CPAP
There are portable concentrators available for using on-the-go, but they are expensive and not all insurances will cover them without a good reason. (Some won't cover even with a good reason!)Goofproof wrote:

Re: Sleep study over
What did I miss? 9.9 isn't lower than 5. I am not trying to argue just trying to learn. You didn't miss anything The OP didn't tell us what the AHI was during the sleep study titration and as we know, the AHI can be quite different from night to night! The 9.9 was after the study at home on the low...

Re: Sleep study over
I don't get it either as straight cpap should have shown your ahi the same as your apap at home. Your ahi at home's 90% was 11,.... should be the same on either machine. This assumes that the sleep center would keep adjusting the pressure upwards to find the optimal pressure setting. To us, optimal...

Re: Mojo by sleepnet
I am new at this and am unsuccessful. I am frustrated and may use my cpap as a doorstop as 50% of others eventually do according to newspaper accounts. Terence My problems are leakage, noise and sore nose and face. My Ipap is 17 and epap 11. Hang in there, Terence -- Have you read this? Taming the ...
