Help Help Help - Bipap & ASV

I have been on bipap/AS for about 2 months. My average hours is 5.9 per night. I am feeling worse and don't see my doctor until mid Sept. My heart rate if up just walking from room to room. I am exhaused and can't really do exercise (I bowl and if I have to pick up a spare, I can hardly breath). Her...

ASV Problems - Help

I recently started ASV Bi-Level, Resmed. My mask is Quattro. When I go into shallow breathing, a big puff of air shoots into my make and wakes me up and blows out the top of the mask. I am so frustrated. My DME talks to me in a condescending manner and is rude. I really have no other DME's in my sma...

ASV????

Hi all! I had a pap nap Tuesday and new sleep study last night. The tech mentioned that he saw something in my pap nap that indicates the use of the ASV method. What is that? This is my 4th sleep study due to non-compliance and issues with leaking masks. Since my first study a few years ago, there h...

Re: OSA and can't use cpap, now no libido or desire for life

I know two people who have had the surgery and in both cases, failure. One of them is in charge of the Sleep Study Center. Therefore, I can't recommend it. I was seeking that information for myself and my Ear Nose and Throat doc informed me of the very low success rate. I totally agree with a previo...

Re: Tent Mask

Here it is. Looks like they have improved the seal above the nose. I really liked it but, need my mouth covered also as I breath both ways. Darn.

Re: Tent Mask

for CPAP. It was flat and hung down until the air came on and this it billowed out. Very light weight and non-sweaty. It was kind of a new thing.

Tent Mask

I tried a tent mask 2 yrs. ago and it was cool and comfortable but had a tendency to leak around the eyes. Are any of you familiar with it and the company. Maybe they have an improved version. The fabric looked like camouflage which was cute. Would love your feedback.

Re: Going for a sleep study this week

I really suggest taking something. Ambien is great and so is Ativan. Tylenol PM is good as well as Melatonin, which is natural. I always have problems sleeping with mask or not but the medicine really helps and it will also help you to get used to the equipment. Sleep study is interesting and nothin...

Re: Central Apnea Question

Hi Grand Pap! Thank you so much for your comments. I have had 3 sleep studies over the past 3 years and because I am on Medicare, I have been unable to be compliant all 3 times and they take away my machine after 90 days. I am trying to get an appt. for a 4th sleep study. Problem has been masks fitt...
