mask parts
Hi, I use a Res Med blue gel nasal mask. I was told that the gel cushion needs to be replaced every month. I am wondering how often that clear plastic film that covers it and holds it to the mask has to be replaced. I just ordered a new blue gel thing and expected it to come with the clear film thin...

Insurance
I've been ordering from the same place most of the time because they file for my insurance. Lately, I've been shopping on the Internet and getting extra things such as pillows made for CPAP users and more comfortable accessories. I bought a new CPAP machine because I wanted the latest technology and...

Re: Resmed Swift FX nasal mask
I tried it but didn't have good luck with it. I still have it and have been thinking of trying to use it again as the one I have now makes a lot of noise. I don't think I put it on correctly because it hurt.

Re: Hurricane in my mask
The ramp was set for 20 minutes. I was able to figure out how to turn the ramp off. It might be that there's no APAP after the ramp. I don't like the ramp. With my old machine, I felt like I was suffocating. With this one, it's not as bad, but I'd rather just start out where it's supposed to be. My ...

Hurricane in my mask
I just got my new cpap yesterday. I loved it when I first started using it. I like the exhale feature. During the night, I woke up to a hurricane in my mask. The exhale feature seemed to not be working. My husband fled to the other bedroom because it was making a horrible noise. I turned the machine...

Re: Is anyone familiar with this machine?
Thanks. I just ordered it. It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow.
I got some special tubing that's supposed to help with the humidifier. Can't wait.
When I was in my 20s, I wouldn't have believed that I would one day be excited about something like this. LOL

Re: Let's all play nice
No, I really wasn't fitted. The lady at my doctor's office brought me a size medium and let me put it to my face. It felt fine, but there was not air coming through it. when I got it and connected it to my machine, there were leaks. I called several times and she didn't return my calls. I finally go...

Air Leaks with gel masks
I've had problems with leaks with both the ResMed Quattro ™ FX Full Face and a similar one that just covers the nose. Are there common causes for leaks?

Re: Feel like I'm suffocating
Glad it's getting better. You mentioned the ramp. I feel like I'm suffocating when the ramp is on. Some people like it because they don't like the sudden force of air and like to get use to it gradually. It just causes me to feel like I'm suffocating and the feeling of suffocation causes me to be cl...

Re: Let's all play nice
Have you gotten the help you wanted in the end? Do you have any questions now? Thanks Julie. You gave me some helpful information about what machine you use. I have a lot of trouble with leaks. Also, I move around a lot in my sleep. I'm not sure if that's bad except that it makes the mask more unco...

Re: keeping your mouth closed while sleeping
I tried going with a full face mask but I'm having problems with leaks on the one I have now. A few years ago, I experienced claustrophobia with a full face mask. The new ResMed Quattro FX Full Face Mask and I don't have the claustrophobia problem but I'm having too many leaks. I ordered a smaller s...

Shopping for New Machine
I slept without my machine the other night and was quite sick the next day. I tried to go on my usual walk and had to go back home after only a few blocks because I was so dizzy that I was afraid I might fall. I took a nap and ended up sleeping most of the afternoon. I have a fit bit that monitors m...
