Lost My Mind

Help!! I have misplaced my file with directions to my RemStar (along with my memory apparently) I want to change the lower pressure on the machine and I can't remember how. I know I have done this before. I have the card and Encore, but am coming up blank. Directions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the response. I should find out in around 2 weeks if this is the direction I will take.

Provigil

Have been on cpap for about a year and a half. Took a while to find the right mask, etc. but have been using it faithfully. Still tired during the day. Had another sleep study and a nap study(that was fun!!). Now there is talk of putting me on Provigil. I am really trying to limit the use of medicat...

The only time I notice a lot of noise with the Hybrid is if a blanket or pillow gets in front of i t. Otherwise it isn't too noisy. Have been using it for over 6 months now so maybe I am just used to it.

That pretty much sums it up for me also. Still feel compelled to check the data every morning though. Oh well!

Thanks for the input. It makes sense I guess. I am a little disturbed by the time in large leak, because it wasn't something I was aware of like when I first started therapy. And it happened again last night, only last night my AHI was 6.2. This is sure a numbers game isn't it.

Thanks,
Linda

Help me to understand

Well, I just had my best AHI ever!! 1.8 My time in a large leak was almost 2 hours. I don't understand!! I thought leaks would increase the AHI.

Thanks for the input,
Linda

I have tried my 432 for the past 3 nights and have gotten progressively better numbers. In fact last night my AHI was 0.6. Have never gotten close to that with the hybrid. It feels comfortable when I wear it, but I end up with large indentations from the mask, not the straps. It really doesn't feel ...

I don't know. I have struggled with somewhat high leak numbers, but never higher pressure numbers. Is it a case of the chicken and the egg? Someone with a lot more knowledge than me would have to put in their 2 cents on this one.

90% pressure

My 90% pressure has been between 7 and 8 for the last 2 weeks. Last night it was over 12. Wondering what would cause such a jump. It resulted in my 90% leak being higher than it has been by about 15 points. Any thoughts?

I seem to get most of my leaks when I am on my back so I don't have any helpful tips for you, sorry. I can tell you that my leaks have decreased the more I use the mask. I think I just don't move around as much as I get used to it.
Good luck,
Linda

There really is a difference

Well last night I did not use my cpap equipment. I was watching my infant granddaughter who was not well. I did not want to miss hearing her. She had a rough night, but I was able to sleep for about 4 hours. I woke at least every hour and had a headache in the morning. I have been on cpap since May ...
