Question for the Spouses of apnea sufferers.

I have been on cpap therapy for about 6 months now. it has gone fairly well. the first time i was on a cpap machine for the sleep study, it was the best night sleep that i could remember in years. after that, my treatment has gone fairly well. in addition to OSA, i have a few things going against me...

the one big difference after a night or two on the hose, was that i did not need nearly as much caffeine and sugar to get through my work shift. Most nights i would need 2 - 3 (21 oz bottles) a shift. and for the first time (i think maybe even since starting this job a year ago) i didnt need to fini...

Moderate OSA 2 nights on CPAP

So got my results of my sleep study at my follow up. I have Moderate OSA. Per hour, my AHI was 15 and my RDI was 20. Ill post my full study later. Got an appointment on mon with a dme to get my machine. And i also have my follow up appointment to go over the results with sleep center.

So i should have plenty to share this week.

I got OSA! What machine should i get ? !

So! I got sleep apnea. I wont know any of the details till i go to my follow up on tuesday. I talked to the cpap person at my sleep center and they only sell 1 type of cpap machine (Respironics system 1) and only respironics brand masks. Oh! and they only do one mask exchange.... buzzz !! wrong answ...

no matter how tired I was I couldn't afford to not be in motion. Not being in motion would result in passing into a coma state if only for 30 mins before waking myself in an apnea event. If I try to put the process into words it goes like this: To stop was to shut down. To shut down wasn't pleasant...
