Re: Trilogy AVAPS-AE - Ongoing
That spike to 0 is a ventilator triggered breath. My patient triggered breaths are lower than hers, so mine spikes to 0 more. I believe most ventilators have that downward spike indicating the vent is giving a breath. I usually use PC-SIMV, but have ran the trilogy in timed mode and all breaths spik...

Re: Trilogy AVAPS-AE - Ongoing
I noticed that your directview software is version 1.3. Maybe you need updated software to view the Avaps-AE waveforms correctly. I bought my directview about 6 months ago and it's version 2.2.

Re: Trilogy AVAPS-AE - Ongoing
I don't think madalot is using the active exhalation circuit. Just the regular passive circuit. I'm almost positive this is correct, but would like to verify the settings. Once my cart is brought out, I can do that. You would know if you had the active exhalation circuit. It has a bulky valve on th...

Re: Trilogy AVAPS-AE - Ongoing
Boots & Pulmonette -- you both seem very knowledgeable about the Trilogy. Have either of you seen and/or worked with the AVAPS-AE? I just happened upon it on this loaner machine, asked some questions and then wanted to try it. I use a trilogy 100. It hasn't been updated in a while, so there is not ...

Re: Trilogy AVAPS-AE - Ongoing
Since Flow Trigger is running you're using Active Exhalation which is a pretty busy routine: Active Exhalation Valve Control - The active exhalation valve consists of a two valve system. One valve dumps the pilot pressure while the other provides proportional control of the pilot pressure. Both the...

Re: Trilogy AVAPS-AE - Ongoing
Trying auto-trak is a good idea or lowering the trigger setting. I believe auto-trak is lower than 6L.

http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy328/deitrickjohn/8-31-20133-07-03PMvvent_zps78dd48bd.jpg I'm pretty sure that's one. I would have to see the pressure graph below that and the breaths per min above. http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy328/deitrickjohn/trilogyvent_zpsf4713a12.jpg The downward s...

http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy328/deitrickjohn/8-31-201310-14-37AMjpgventgraph_zps622cb2eb.jpg This is a DirectView screenshot. The person is trying to trigger the vent, but isn't generating enough flow to get a spontaneous breath. The trigger was set to 5L. If you see this in your waveforms...

Re: Trilogy AVAPS-AE - Ongoing
You could look in DirectView under prescription history. Might have to flip through the sessions to find it depending on how often you download. SWS is correct on the pulsing issue and the trigger/cycle needs to be fine tuned. Someone with perfect lungs would have problems triggering a vent at 6L.

Re: Trilogy 100 AVAPS Rate -- HELP PLEASE
I use the trilogy 100 and I have an older bipap avaps. Both machines increase at 1 cm h2o per min. The trilogy 202 and the a30 or a40 had the new avaps feature that could increase 0.5-5 cm h2o I believe. The trilogy 100 has a software update for that feature. I would link from respironics site, but ...

Re: Trilogy 100 AVAPS Rate -- HELP PLEASE
Your trilogy 100 without that software upgrade was set at 1 cm h2o per min.
