Re: AHI Increase
Thanks. My machine provides a daily AHI but nothing that I can find on leaks. I hope my DME will let me switch to a machine that provides more data. I believe your machine has all of that data, you just need the software to pull it up. I (like many here) use sleepyhead software. It is easy to use a...

Re: What is a normal amount of Periodic Breathing?
Once again, thank you Pugsy! You seem to always put things in a way that makes it easy to understand. I am still very new to this, so I do not have a lot of data to go off of, but it looks like I experience one Periodic Breathing event on 5 out of 6 nights, lasting for between 60-120 seconds, with n...

Re: What is a normal amount of Periodic Breathing?
Since I have started using Sleepyhead software and the PRS 560, I see one periodic breathing event almost every night, lasting between 1-2 minutes. The % of time in periodic breathing is always under 1%. I have read about what periodic breathing is, but my question is - should I be concerned about i...

Re: new machine whistling
I just recently got one of these. They set it up for me and showed me how to use it. Right away we could tell there was a high pitched whistling sound. They immediately swapped it out for a different new machine, same model. The new one did not have this problem. Not sure what it was, but if it is n...

Re: I'm trying to make this work...thanks for the help.
You'll get it all figured out. Take machine back to DME and make them upgrade you to something like the S9 autoset. They shouldn't charge you. $1500? Should've been around $600 or so. S9 Autoset maybe $999, with all the goodies. Don't stand for anything less than a no charge swap out.

Re: Grrr...no sleep :(
so the Darth Vader sound is normal apparently, lol Ha! I think so, to some extent. My wife calls me darth vader with all this stuff! She is super supportive though. I am so tired all the time that I really don't have a problem getting to sleep, but if I wake up in the middle of the night, I sit the...

Re: Poll: What mask type do you use?
so, how does that work with getting new masks? Does your insurance cover them all? Do you try them on first or just order what sounds good? I think I have 30 days to try out different masks at my DME but I'm not even sure how many options I have there b/c its just at my sleep doctor's office. Your ...

Re: Poll: What mask type do you use?
I tried the nasal pillow inserts-style and found that they irritated my nose too much, even after trying some different things and adjusting the straps and putting different-sized pillows in. I also had a nasal cushion mask from the sleep study. That one is much more comfortable, but it irritated th...

Re: Newb, 6 days & 2 masks
soon as the mask came off nose cleared up. Called office and they said they had to get the doctor to approve it so insurance could pay. Do you mean that they wanted to give you a different mask but they needed to check with insurance first? Not sure what you meant with that part. I think you need a...

Re: Sleepy Head Screenshots - Please interpret
Thanks again Pugsy! I am going to set it to auto right away! Do you think I should just go with a range of like 8-9 or should I go 8-12 or something? I mean would it hurt to do that? If it is truly auto sensing, should I give it a larger range and let it do its thing? Or shall I just stick close to ...

Sleepy Head Screenshots - Please interpret
Here are two nights of sleepy head data. Night 1 slept very well, as you can probably tell the stats are a lot better on night 1 vs night 2. Are the stats acceptable though? Should I make any changes to my machine? Also, what do all of the graphs mean? I understand some of this, and I have looked th...
