Resmed s10 question
I have mild to moderate apnea. My current machine is an s9 auotset. I just started with a mew sleep dr in our new state and she said I am eligible for a new machine. She ordered a Resmed s10 (but not autoset). Can anyone give me input on the basic s10 vs the autoset (elite)? Is the autoset necessary...

Re: I'm pretty excited
Last night I keot it on for 8 hours. I woke up several times when the mask moved and started leaking but I didn’t take it off. I am tired today though from waking up so often.

Thanks you guys. This is just the first time that I have had real hope of this working for me. I’m crossing my fingers that it just keeps getting better

I'm pretty excited
I might be jumping the gun but I finally...finally...feel some hope that I can adjust to CPAP! I was diagnosed about 5 years ago while also going through some thyroid issues. I have tried and tried to adjust to using CPAP and just couldn't do it. I could not get past feeling like I was suffocating. ...

Re: How many of you snored as a kid?
I did. As long as I can remember. Even as young as 8 or 9. In high school I was embarrassed to sleep over friends' houses and in college my poor roomate slept with a stuffed animal over her head. Back then I'd never heard the word apnea.

Thank you for the replies! I will definitely check the filter. I'm not sure what to do if I need to take it to my provider. They are in Texas but I moved to NC. Hopefully, its the filter  Yes, those are my pugs. Or were. My boy (the bigger one) passed away. It was heartbreaking. But now we hav...

Weird sensation breathing in
Hi all! I was on here a few years ago but never got used to my machine and fell off the wagon. But I am extremely motivated to try again. Today I set up my machine and settled in for a practice and I had a weird sensation, that as soon as it happened I remembered this is what drove me nuts before. S...

Re: Terrific Sleep Therapy Book
Thank you for the review. I started the book and just couldn't get into it. You've convinced me to give it another try. I didn't stick with it long enough. I was still in the boring part, lol.

Re: "Minimal contact" mask recommendations
I have the Sleepweaver Elan and I want to love it but I just can't get the placement right and there are too many leaks/air blowing into my eyes. I know there are others, though, who really do love it.

some good news
Sorry I've been so out of the loop lately. I went to Arizona for my nephew's graduation (and family time). Just got back this week. Today I went to find out the results of my first blood work after starting the meds for Graves. Things are improving! I'm so happy. I'm tolerating the medication well. ...
