Re: Hypnogogic Hallucinations
I looked into exploding head syndrome and what I experience is exactly that. I am glad it happens infrequently.

Re: Another newbie with questions
Hello, I am in my 4th month now and I am sleeping really well and I have the mask on all night. Here are some of the things I did that really helped me. 1. Hung a rope and tied my hose so I could move around with no pulling on the mask. You can buy a hose management pole but my rope works well and i...

Re: Hypnogogic Hallucinations
I have both hypnagogic and hynopompic hallucinations. They are in the form of loud bangs or bells ringing. My sleep doctor did tell me of the voice hallucinations. I have to say I am glad I don't hear voices. I have not had a either kind of hallucinations in the 2-3 months I have been on cpap. That ...

Re: benzodiazepines and O.S.A what you guys think
Hi, I have general anxiety. I have a prescription for .5 mil. Lorazepam. I actually only take it when I really have to and I have not had any problems. I have not taken it at bedtime but it is a really low dose so when I do take it I don't feel stoned. That is important to me because I hate that fee...

Re: Any advice on using nasal pillow mask?
I am an opus user and I found that I had to adjust the top strap to sit along my forehead/hairline to get the most comfort and stability. I also have a rope hanging from the ceiling to tie the hose to. This helps with the pulling on the mask. I would suggest getting into your sleeping position then ...

My heart is soooo going out to you. Graves is a thyroid problem? I have a slow thyroid and I have been on one dosage for years and the problem was well controlled. That changed and I spent months thinking I was losing my mind. I am 44 and I was told it was peri menopause. I really was very emotional...

Re: Teeth problem?
Haven't experienced it. A scary thought (well it would be if it were happening NOW) is that numbness can be a sign of a serious problem. But I'm going to guess that the strap or something else (even a fold in a sheet) pressed on the nerve and caused you that discomfort... I never though about a ner...

Teeth problem?
Hello,
I wear a nasal pillow mask. I wear it pretty loose. I woke up this morning and the molars on my right top felt numb and my bite didn't feel normal. This feeling went away in an hour or two. Anyone have this happen?
Thanks,
Deenie-deen

Re: Still not sleeping well
Hi,
I am so sorry to hear you are having such a tough time. I was wondering if you could get into the side position that you are most comfortable and cut a spot in the memory foam pillow where you mask hits. Just a thought. I can sympathize with waking up because of pain. Not fun.

I am new too. I have been using my machine for just over a month and I am doing really well. I didn't want to post how well I was doing in case I upset someone who was just having a rotten time of it. Now I see everyone is seeing it as an encouragement, I will share. I live 5 mins from a full servic...

Re: Help with humidifier
Thank you, I am raising the temp right now and gonna give it a whirl. Will let you know how I do. I am loving my machine and I get a good nights sleep now. I am just over a month with the machine and very glad I got it. I believe I was lucky and caught my apnea very early on maybe had One year or tw...

Help with humidifier
Hello,
I noticed that barely any of the water is being used in my reservoir and I am waking up dry. The room temp is 62 degrees and my temp on the machine is set to 67 degrees. What do I change it to to get more moisture?
Thanks,
Deenie-deen

Re: first night with CPAP
I started with a nasal mask and had a soar nose in the morning. I had the straps to tight and I had to change the angle of the straps on my head. It took sometime to find what I call my sweet spot but I can sleep through the night and the mask is comfortable. I also asked to have the ramp time longe...
