Re: OSA and can't use cpap, now no libido or desire for life
Well, I'm not the expert but I can tell you without a doubt a machine running at 4 makes me feel like I'm suffocating all the time... As the previous poster mentioned anything below 8 is not tolerable to me. Works well because my min pressure is 13.5 to truly control the events... But I did play aro...

This one claims to be a new 560 w/humidifier in Ocala/Belleview for $250...
It's a good deal if it really is new and a 560.

Re: Crappy Night
Just my personal view but looking at that night I'd look at moving my start pressure to about 11, to see results. Although one night's data isn't the best approach to determining pressure settings. If other nights looked similar to the pressure pattern for Thursday though the min pressure is definit...

Don't remember anyone mentioning adjusting the machine being illegal... We were however discussing altering a prescription having potential legal consequences.

Re: Hmm, what do I make of these
For me it's a hard call to make without seeing the additional data surrounding those events... Were you showing high leak rates during those times? That can throw many of the readings awry, result in snoring, and generally create the image of a large problem where one may not exist. But again withou...

However since the one you have is a copy because it was faxed... if the only copies you have happen to say patient choice, then I'm sure that is how it was faxed to you.

Re: Moderate OSA 2 nights on CPAP
I did get that feeling the night of my sleep study... I assume because I hadn't slept more than an hour at a time and generally no more than 3-4 hours a night in about 4 maybe 5 years...
I might have gotten a lesser feeling a few other times, but in general no..

I have not been back to my sleep doctor since the study. Well the follow-up to the study. I went to the sleep doc. Scheduled study-- was a split night study -- AHI was 80+ and on to CPAP by midnight... Had a follow-up visit to go over the study. Prescription sent to DME. Met with DME got machine, di...

I clean mask daily but mostly because I've gone to FF masks and they just leak far worse when not clean and face cleaned shortly before bed... Humidifier tank maybe once every two weeks but I pull it from the F&P machine daily and leave it to air dry so it isn't sitting warm and humid all day every ...

Re: Mirage FX and ResMed S8
Well I'm a long way from the resident expert but it looks like that graphs I used to get before switching to FF masks.. I tend to sit at about 14 for pressure. The up/down nature and then the quick cliff make it look like mouth leakage, it scales up and down depending on how much air is escaping fro...

Fax them a response that says, "Please resend prescription making the following change... Dr. Terrence Moore to choose patient choice. Please resend when that is complete." If that doesn't work ask if Dr. Terrence Moore is paying for your supplies or you are... If the good Dr. wants to buy your stuf...

Re: Mirage FX and ResMed S8
So just before the 7:00 mark did you wake and adjust something? That 5-7 range is the one that is really bad, the rest were at least short duration leaks... But something happened to put you back to baseline at that point. Just wondering if you readjusted something or were mouth leaking and closed t...

Hey, you know that any thoughts I have expressed your way have all been with gentle love in mind. Just to give you an alternate way of looking at things with a little loving prod. Believe me...if you were ever the recipient of my wrath...everyone would know it. I am not nice when I am mad. Not much...

I do have a 10,000 BTU portable room unit I bought last year at costco for about $350. No central AC unfortunately. Way overkill for the space so I should be all prepared http://content.costco.com/Images/Content/Product/506214.jpg This is really bizarre but I was just thinking of one of those last ...

Re: OSA: damages your body and relationships
There are still challenges, but I get to enjoy life again, not just survive the day. hits very close to home. i look forward to the point when my main goal is to not just "survive the day" Well the short version is, prolonged absence of sleep makes it near impossible to manage your relationship wit...
