Re: Resmed P10 replacement

I just toss mine in the laundry on a regular basis. I've got a couple, I take one off, toss it in with the dirty clothes, and put on another, then drop the washed one in the drawer. Far easier than trying to do it by hand, and since there's no velcro to get gooped, it works great. I do the same. I ...

Re: Goodbye, AirFit P10. Call me when you're improved....

True, the top strap can slip if you don't pull it high enough. I try to get my straps at around a 90 deg. angle to one another (or slightly more).

Machine pressure also matters for me. Usually after 18 I'm heading towards the high leak category regardless...

Re: Goodbye, AirFit P10. Call me when you're improved....

A hose hanger and washing the straps in hot water (or just replacing them) will help a lot. It only takes a slight amount of pressure for the mask to leak. Fresh straps and something to take extra tension off of the straps will go a long way. Before getting a hose hanger the mask was unusable for me...

I'm using Parallels and an old copy of XP. I never had any luck with the mac drivers....

I just save to a shared folder and import into SH. Less steps would be nice, but it works in a pinch...

Re: Any CPAP users with beards? (Only men need reply<vbg>)

They vibrate like mad from either the top or bottom depending upon the mask. mask liners? (if you have not use the P10 for some reason (stuffed up nose, etc) Thanks, but oddly enough, they didn't do it for me. I've used Pad-a-cheek liners on both my nasal and full face masks. While they are great a...

Re: Any CPAP users with beards? (Only men need reply<vbg>)

Honestly, I haven't found one full face mask that fit and I've tried at least a dozen.. I finally gave up and shaved. Still no dice though -- just as bad! It's not the facial hair for me -- just the shape of my face. For some reason masks don't agree with me. They vibrate like mad from either the to...

Re: Oxygen and AHI events

However it brings to mind-what is the ultimate test of the results of using a CPAP? Is this to be found in watching the blood oxygen levels? It would seem that all else doesn't really matter as long as the oxygen levels are maintained. That's not entirely true. The ultimate benchmark is your health...

Re: Mouth Taping with Beard... no worky

Actually, taping is the only thing that works for me. I must have and odd shaped head or something but I've been through almost a dozen top of the line full face masks and they all leak badly. Liners make no difference. I either get hit in the eyes or the corners of my mouth when my chin drops and t...

Dr. Google has me a little worried... I just had to post this. Nothing to do with your original question, just a bit of levity. Don't stop asking questions or finding answers -- just keep this image in the back of your mind and smile http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f72/jdr9g/Sleepyhead/5146e8d67b...

Re: Connecting sleep apnea with other's deaths.

The first one that comes to my mind is James Gandolfini from the Sopranos. No idea if he had it, but I think it's plausible. Ever listen to him breath on camera? He always sounded extremely short of breath which reminds me of me pre-treatment. The slightest thing used to get me breathing heavy... It...

Re: My BiPAP ASV Adv. Does NOT Want me to Fall Asleep!

My CI ranged from 4-6 on most nights which isn't great but not exactly CSA territory. My biggest problem is sleep onset centrals. This is a common problem - many of us have it.. For me though, falling asleep on my aPAP was like a roller coaster ride. I'd awaken 6+ times while falling asleep with a j...

Re: Higher Sp02 when heart rate drops? (bradycardia)

You may have it backwards. Low SpO2 tends to cause an increase in heart rate. Maybe the SpO2 is getting higher for other reasons and that causes your heart rate to drop. Possible. My heart rate is always higher when I first lay down and decreases as I relax. I could check my levels before laying do...

A lot of leaks last night but similar. My Sp02 usually starts out on the low side and slowly increases throughout the night........ Now to find a way to consistently keep it closer to 93%-95% the entire night....? http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f72/jdr9g/Sleepyhead/ScreenShot2014-10-10at92832AM.p...

Higher Sp02 when heart rate drops? (bradycardia)

Hi gang, I'm still trying to get a handle on my borderline Sp02 levels. My nightly averages are typically between 89%-92%. Looking at my Sleepyhead data I'm noticing that my Sp02 increases during the second half of the night and when my heart rate drops down to the 40's & 50's (mild bradycardia?). I...

Re: Attention SleepyHead Mac Users

Awesome! I was able to successfully import my old SP02 Assistant files Not sure if it's related but I now have the ResMed oximeter (in addition to importing the CMS50F files from last year) and am showing two identical "SD" and "PC" columns in my Events Flag and summary. Have you tested it with mult...
