Re: Distilled water
Does going dry shorten the lifespan of a CPAP machine? I’ve only occasionally used water.

Sleep scores
Greetings. I've been using my Phillips DreamStation for over a decade and it's changed my life. I've talked to a few others who have been diagnosed and started with a CPAP machine. I'm no expert but have been very successful at sticking with the treatment. Most of those I've talked to have given up ...

Re: CPAP MACHINE RANDOMLY SHUTS ITSELF OFF!
Might a dirty filter cause a CPAP machine to stop running at night?

Machine turns itself off
I searched and didn’t see this topic.
My Philips DreamStation is turning itself off at night. I don’t think I’m doing it during the night but will test this by putting a book on top of it. Could a loose mask cause this? The unit is four years old.

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
Long thread and I may have missed it but what’s the size of the 11 and when will it be available for Canadians?

Travel CPAP machine
We travel a lot. I’m looking for a smaller machine for travel. It doesn’t really have to be battery operated as we stay in hotels, with friends, and on cruise ships. The local place I deal with sells Dreamstation Go and Resmed Airmini. Does anyone have reviews on these two or have suggestions for al...

Re: Portable CPAP machine
Thanks. I've searched and found discussions. I'll read those.
Not sure what is meant about compliance. I'm a long-time user who uses it 100% of the time and it's helped me immensely.

Portable CPAP machine
I want to buy a portable CPAP unit (battery powered?) for travel and camping. Any recommendations or advice? Cost is less important than quality and convenience. I could buy online or at a local store.

Re: using distilled water in the humidiefer
I've never used water of any kind. I use my machine dry. Is this a problem? It doesn't bother me.

Re: Can I outgrow sleep apnea
Losing weight may be a good idea for many reasons. It might reduce you need for CPAP, but many people aren't cured or see no improvement. Even if you do get off CPAP now, apnea usually increases with age. What problems are your having with CPAP? We might have some suggestions to make it more tolera...

World's smallest, lightest machine
I saw this advertised and wonder if anyone here has tried it. It seems to fit into your hand. I'm thinking of this unit for travel instead of the full-sized one. Anyone have an opinion on it? If I order it it won't be here in time for my next trip but we travel a lot and perhaps this could be useful...

Re: Can I outgrow sleep apnea
Thanks for all of the responses. Ha, I saw the first two people both had frogs as their avatars and I thought maybe to blend in I had to get a frog also. These are not the answers I wanted, but they were the ones I expected. So, I guess I'm probably going to have to deal with this for the rest of my...

Can I outgrow sleep apnea
Maybe outgrowing is the wrong word, but if I lose some weight what are my chances of not having sleep apnea? I was diagnosed over a year ago and I wear my mask every night and every nap although I don't like it. I'm a man aged 60.
