Hi guys, still relatively new to CPAP, trying to determine what mask is right for me. Have somewhat narrowed it down to Fisher & Paykel Eson or Philips Wisp. Can anyone educate me as to which one worked for them and why?
Thanks!
Andrew

"Minimal contact" mask recommendations
Hello, After struggling with finding a mask for quite a while, I am currently using the Comfortlite 2. While I still cannot make it through the night YET, I am improving and think that the minimal contact type of mask is what will work for me. I am covered quite well through work and am able to buy ...

Re: Going on 7 months, no luck with a mask
49er- I went from approx 2 hrs to 4. I know, it may sound small but I consider it a victory. It's incentive to stick with this mask for sure. RE: the reason why it worked, I think it may because the hose is attached to the top of your head as opposed to at the nose. This allows me more movement. Kir...

Re: Going on 7 months, no luck with a mask
The big question is "Why are you waking up after 2 hours?" What is happening in your data? The other question is why do you chose to "reward" yourself after 2 hours by taking the mask off? With all due respect, who says it is a "reward"? That is not the reason at all why I take it off. It is more i...

Re: Going on 7 months, no luck with a mask
Thanks chunkyfrog. My DME has a sleepweaver and offered it to me to try but I declined. Maybe I'll reconsider. 49er- Thanks for the reply. I like my DME a lot but you're right- I need to go with what will work for me. Denial Dave- Thanks for pointing this out. I selected my equipment but it was not ...

Going on 7 months, no luck with a mask
I have tried: - Mirage Activa - Mirage Liberty - Mirage FC Nasal - Quattro - Quattro FX - Swift FX - Pilairo - F&P Simplus No luck so far. I can't even really articulate why either...I wake up after around 2 hrs and cannot fall back asleep unless the mask comes off. I have tried getting up for a bre...

Re: New F&P full face mask ("Simplus")
I tried this the last couple of nights. Semi impressed. The old quattro FX is so tight on my face now to try and achieve a seal and stop it moving all over my face. This one looked promising. It is very comfortable to wear but it tends to slide around a bit with the humidifier on and I do mouth bre...

Re: New user, needing serious mask advice
Thanks for the info. My machine is not the software type.
I have been researching the hybrid masks a bit and may look into one.
Thanks again.

Re: New user, needing serious mask advice
Thanks Madalot, I will have a look at this one. What was the problem with the Pilairo? You liked it...how come it wanted to fail you? What was the problem with the Swift FX? The other full face masks...what was the problem? General comfort? Leaks? Pain? Fit? Just generally a PITA to use? If you had ...

Re: New user, needing serious mask advice
Thanks for the list Sheriff. Very helpful. Can you normally breathe through your nose okay during the day? Or do you have a lot of chronic congestion? Is your mouth breathing out of necessity or habit? Have you tried the Innomed Hybrid or ResMed Liberty? Those are a combination of nasal pillows and ...

New user, needing serious mask advice
Hi everyone, new to the forum as well as CPAP. Been using the machine on & off for a few months and have been losing hope because I cannot find a mask that I can use. I have given up on the nasal masks and have tried the nasal pillows & full face masks to no avail. Because I am a claustrophobic side...
