Re: New CPAP User + Waking up a Ton
Thank you both for the replies and sincere apologies for the delay. ChicagoGranny - I take Tirosint (thyroid med) each morning and vitamin D, magnesium, B-complex, and Iron on a semi/mostly regular basis. =I have studied sleep hygiene and I am pretty good about following it. Could be better about n...

Re: resmed data appears not fully accurate
first off; i'm aware that these algorithms are an approximation of the full picture. none of us are getting full fledged sleep screening every night with our machine data. as an example, look at last night's data for me. by the numbers, i'd think "great!" but zoomed in you can see obvious flow limi...

Re: Still struggling with cpap ASV
I wonder why I sleep so bad. Maybe it is not apnea but depression after all ??? Or Sertraline side effet... YA THINK!!??? usually it's the other way around, poor sleep causes depression like symptoms. Also, the stress will lower the arousal threshold of neurons which makes you more susceptible to R...

Re: Clear Airway Apnea
agree with Pugsy. My 2 thoughts:
1. pressure setting needs to go higher: I guess 11-12 cm to start with
2. leaks need better control. You might consider full face mask as they generally work better with higher pressures.
3. pay attention to flow limitations as well.

Re: Still struggling with cpap ASV
well, the pressure goes as high as 19cm and it could not fix the flow limitation. You got the best equipments for PAP treatment.. something you can try: 1. try fixed high pressure I/E such as 20/16 cm 2. sleep position control - reduce supine sleep as much as you could 3. weight loss if overweight, ...

pls upload data to sleephq. https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_links/7c3d647f-4bf8-4c91-9020-d8c9fe6031c6/dashboard RERAs are all hidden, around those CAs flagged by machine. More detailed view is needed to find flow limitations/RERAs. I recommend higher pressure in a tight range 10-12 or fixed....

Re: Can Someone Please Review My Sleep Data?
I see REM sleep UARS too: look at the flow limitation starting from 1:42:15 as an example, airway collapsed and 15 seconds later the breathing went back to normal, which cannot happen without a microarousal that restore airway patency and disrupt your deep sleep at the same time. And notice 1:43:59 ...

Thanks for the suggestion: https://sleephq.com/public/teams/share_ ... 16d30a5779 Your breathing data looks decent. I would like to look at your most recent night. Re: Getting stuck with UARS settings!
The RERAs around 3am is not looking too bad - no awakenkings. Just curious how do you rate your sleep quality? 14cm IPAP is already high pressure. Maybe higher EPAP might help such as 8 or 10cm.

Re: Long time CPAP user, pressure set to 15.0 permanently
I have look of surprise! Given the amount of FL I would not have expected APAP to result in in any significant pressure changes, but not only did that occur, when significant FL did appear, it did not respond despite obvious FL with arousal (RERA): fls.jpg Hi Nocibur How many RERAs do you see here,...

Re: Flow Limitation Diagnosis / Treatment Help
Yes, I think sleeping in prone position helps, but it's not comfortable to me and I can't stay there. Sleeping on back produces the worse results, I wear a vest with a ball on the back to prevent it. I sleep on my side 95% of the night. I think my UARS is taken care of while on my side and using a ...

Re: Do I quit? Am confused on what to do now....in the UK
flow limitation charts look like tongue base level obstruction, most likely during REM sleep. What makes you say that they are tongue base level obstruction and occur during REM? 1. timing of the FL clusters 2. the PAP pressures were high and soft palate (due to it's anatomy/shape) usually respond ...
