Re: Pressure Too High?
Thank you all for your kind words. My doctor called the RT and lowered the pressure. If that does not help then after 2 days they are going to discontinue the SenseAwake feature and put me on an auto setting where the machine will decide what pressure I need and when. Right now the pressure has only...

Pressure Too High?
Well, I finally got my new mask to try. RT called and said she would bring it out Weds. and instead, mailed the stupid thing while not returning any of my phone calls. I got it on Saturday. Tonight is night 2. Previous questions relating to equipment issues are now bringing me to this one: How do yo...

Re: Severe Facial Bruising and Pain
Thank you for the help. I did reach out to my RT and I was looking at trying the ComfortGel FF. Many people seem to like that one too. I am of course getting the runaround with my RT and have not even received a phone call. The mask itself is not bothering me as much since I loosened it. The problem...

Re: Need to vent a little!
My sleep doc is now involved and they are none to happy with my treatment from this service. Still have nor heard from the RT today and I have been awake since 4:13 am EST. It is a shame because if I really like my machine. It is super quiet, easy to adjust the humidity levels, and that SenseAwake f...

Re: Need to vent a little!
I think I was just aggravated that her tone was so nasty. I am new to this whole thing. What irritates me the most is I cannot understand why these companies feel that since they send an RT out to your home and spend at least an hour, that whatever mask they give you should work fine and be the best...

Need to vent a little!
I called my RT today to see if we could get one of the gel masks that you all so kindly suggested. Before the called I looked on the med supply website and they do carry them. My RT did not answer her phone of course and I left a message about the facial pain, loosening the straps, and the subsequen...

Re: Severe Facial Bruising and Pain
The only drugs that I take are Mirapex for the RLS and Plaquenil for my Lupus. I am not currently on any blood thinners or anything of that sort. My doctors seem to think that the sleep apnea is the direct cause of my auto-immune disorders so this is the first step in the treatment plan. I generally...

Re: Severe Facial Bruising and Pain
Thanks everyone! My RT fitted my mask and put it on me.I then wore it for 3 hours as she measured and watched. The difference was, I was sitting up at that time. I took the majority advice and loosened it last night. It felt better, but like chunkyfrog said, it leaked. Not from around the sides (I l...

Severe Facial Bruising and Pain
Hello everyone! I am a newbie. I just got my machine Friday. I am having a problem with facial bruising and pain. I was diagnosed with OSA. I have severe allergies and constantly congested and have been for years. I am allergic to antihistamines and the only thing I can take is Sudafed. I am a mouth...
