Re: Nighttime eating... Am I alone?

Most nights I wake up feeling a very strong urge to get up and eat something; and I have a difficult time getting back to sleep if I don't. I just finished a late night, or early morning, snack of: almonds (good) and a Cherry Coke (bad). Am I alone in this nighttime eating behavior? Nope, I just ha...

Re: advice please from all you long timers!

Hi Andy! I have tried 4 different masks before picking the Swift FX, and with all of them leakage and slippage was a function of pressure from the pillow dislodging the mask. I now use one of those CPAP pillows with the moulded hollows so it doesn't push the mask out of the way. Even the FX stays in...

Re: 2 weeks and struggle seems to be easing

I have been a hose head for only two weeks. I am still struggling with leaks 95% at 25 max at 134, butt that was for a few seconds but finally got min to 0.0. I woke up middle of night and felt nothing coming out of my machine, but when I moved the masks I felt and heard high pressure, is this natu...

Re: Part 1: Which improvement did you experience FIRST?

Well, it wasn't a choice in the poll, but the first improvement was not having to get up and pee every 70 minutes all night long. The cessation of snoring is pretty good, too.

Humerous exchange with my DME last week.

I had to call and clarify a shipping problem last week with my DME. While I had the young lady on the phone, I asked, since my insurance next year will not pay 100% for DME, if she could send me a price list with *MY* prices, not Anthem's. She said "sure, just call us back when you get your card wit...

Re: Cleaning the Actual CPAP machine

IS it ok to clean the inside of the humidifier of the machine,? IS that bad for it? is it necessary? The tank only. Don't get water near the machine itself, that is hard on it and your DME will not fix it for free. I wash everything in a neutral dish soap (one of those "green" ones), using a brush ...

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care

the upcoming year is likely to be a bad one for the American democratic party. The current obamacare fiasco down here is leaving most Americans very jaded about obama and the democratic party in general. Like Americans were not already jaded enough. LOL The predictions down here are that the democr...

"obama will likely end up being the second American President faced with imminent impeachment in 2015 or early 2016. Second only to Nixon. If obama gets impeached..." In your wildest wet dreams, jocko. "Presiding While Black" is not a "High Crime or Misdemeanor". And better add Andrew Johnson and Bi...

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care

Lobbyists get paid pretty good; I'm sure the one he is listening to got big bucks. He's probably bitter because no one is paying him--just confused as to who to be mad at. I figure he's one of those trolls that spends all day spreading "joy" on multiple forums for 50 Cents a post from FreedomWorks....

I also vote for the FX. I got it in May and have not used anything else since. To sleep on my side I have one of those pillows with the cutouts and it's perfect.
It's made it so I actually ENJOY being on the blower.

Re: Pillow for Mirage Quattro?

I used to take a regular pillow and fold and punch it until I could sleep on it w/a Quattro. Then I bought one of the pillows with the cut-out corners. End of problems. It works well with the Swift FX, too.

CHOP-CHOP-CHOP-CHOP-CHOP...

Run! Run for your FREEDOM! the BLACK HELICOPTERS are upon us!

This sounds like something you'd hear on one a them shortwave radio programs sponsored by some outfit that sells water filters, freeze-dried food, and Krugerrands...

In other words, complete HOOEY.

How old is the mask cushion? Could be time to replace it or try the boiling with baking soda trick.
